My theory as to why is that workers usually don't move in a straight line, nor in the most effective path from mineral node to the main building. The increased travelling path evens out the discrepancies in income rates. They are not as great as the liquipedia article would have you believe (because all mineral patches are not as close nor as straightly aligned with the main building as in the exampel provided). MavercK still made some change to the SCVs, but not one that drastically affected Terran's income rate. | ||
