Always nice to see armchair quarterbacks... I would love to see you play PuMa on ladder and see how he would own you in 5 miunutes. Isn't that exactly his point? PUMA is very good, but Fantasy is better.
Could you honestly say for sure the Thorzain would have beaten Fantasy?

Noooooo EGTL
Sigh....oh well, at least it was 4-3. Rain is too good T_T

The question is: why aren't they sending out Revival instead of Puma/Thorzain? Has he not been added to the proleague roster yet?

Seems like a good reason to me. Hero, JYP, Puma, Zenio, Jaedong, Thorzain would all have lost, I can say that with confidence. Taeja is now 0-5 vs Rain. It was a poor decision. JD would not have been a good choice, considering how bad his ZvP is. To be honest, I was hoping for JYP to go out and snipe Rain with a PvP build.
Well, trOt tried to send out JYP as an ace last time, and looked what happened...people were throwing so much shit around seeing it.

goddamit i fell asleep at the beginning of Taeja vs Rain.. woke up to see the sad news T_T ofc Taeja was the best possible ace so no complains there, i think he should have been a bit more defensive considering rain had upgrade lead the whole game. damn !!
so does it mean EG/TL can't make it to play offs or what ?

EG-TL has five more rounds to secure a spot in the top 4 before the playoffs start, no teams are eliminated until the end of round 6.

Well the opponent expects Taeja so im sure that most of the other teams study his play Yup. Can't really fault either team for their decision though. Realistically EGTL could've sent out Taeja or Hero, Rain prepared for Taeja, but most likely could've out PvPed Hero if necessary. SKT1 could've sent out SOO or Rain (in my opinion. Fantasy too perhaps). Hero's been slumping in PvZ (better recently though), but Taeja's TvZ is still pretty great, and if Rain is out there you want Taeja. In the end it comes down to the players themselves, Taeja hasn't had much nerve issues in the past (far less than Hero especially), but perhaps it is something he needs to improve upon. You know Rain was 4-0 vs Taeja going into yesterday right? and 3-0 vs Hero. I think JD would have been the best bet. Yes, because Jaedong is 0-9 in his last 9 ZvP.... There is a reason that JD is being sent out on TDA. Yes, his ZvZ is really good. But also, it is to shield him away from ZvPs...
You do have to be fair - that was 3-4 months ago which is a long time in sc2 terms. His first proleague game of zvp was bad, yes but he just showed an awful game. I have seen his zvp otherwise and obviously it's not "omg fucking amazing", but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

They needed Stephano in this match, badly.

HerO should have been sent out on Arkanoid, it should never have made it to an ace match. Well done to Zenio!

This series was ruined for me because the casters were terrible well that supernovamaniac guy was forsure its like they have no idea how the game works its like the battles going bad and then hes like oh he shouldn't be doing this... its like yeah obviously and it's like he has no idea what he is talking about.
please find better casters I am sure there are alot of people who are willing to cast proleague like if Khaldor has the time to go to one of the matchs maybe he can cast it? Like even a solo cast would be better than these guys....

I don't think anyone was a better choice vs Rain than Taeja and Rain is better than everyone on EG-TL regardless.
They simply had to play around him but they couldn't because Puma and JD lost their matches

EG-TL moves to 4th place if i'm correct after cj entus loses 1-4 to team 8!!!!

Good to hear comments like this - I'm glad Rain wasn't one of those guys that got to the top for only one season and then falls off.
Glad to see Rain still owning it up.
Sad to see JD lose but he has shown much potential.
I don't actually "watch" proleague, I usually just put it in the background while playing other games (so most of the time I just listen to the audio).
It's actually really enjoyable even just listening to the audio.
I like keeping up with players and this is why team leagues (in any sport really) makes things much more interesting than solo tournaments (especially in a game like *SC2 where no one besides a select few players seem to be consistent in any one tournament).
*The problem with SC2 (I said this in the SC2 BW topic) is that games are more decided on one big battle instead of multiple engagements or multiple victories like in BW or WC3.
In SC2, it's a bit random because one mistake can lose you a game. It's less gradual than BW or WC3. One of the reasons for everything being decided on one big battle is deathballs. Also due to the pathing (unit clumping) keep things in a deathball is the most optimal (rarely do you want to spread out your units, if you do, the opponent's deathball instantly takes out your non-deathball units before they can do anything).
In both BW and WC3, you were encouraged to spread your army and attack multiple areas at once. Even if you tried to attack a single location, the battle would take a while to finish due to a combination of pathing, map layout (in BW, players were generally on more than 3 bases, 4-5-6 bases and spreading your units all over the place was common), and units (no colossus or infestors or marauders or super high DPS stuff that makes everything about just one big engagement in either BW or WC3). ______________
Anyway, I welcome proleague and fantasy proleague.
Makes SC2 fun again (it was getting stale). Also it allows you to keep up with players.
Plus, Proleague (or team leagues in general, GSTL too) has this whole players can be consistent magic to it (compared to GSL where the champion of the previous season, in almost every GSL so far, has always never made it past the next season's Ro4).
(The only exceptions being MVP and Nestea during their primes. MC was close too.)
Edit - Also excited that winners league is next format. I definitely like switching up formats. One format makes things boring but switching it up keeps things refreshing.

hmm STABLE CHOICE for EGTL to send out taeja
however, zerg would have been better choice considering taeja cannot beat rain...
gg wp EG TL
winners league is coming up, get ready for perfect round
