Hydra vs Action on Arkanoid is going to be interesting, can go either win. Giving Edge to Hydra Crazy-Hydra is an even crazier version of Hydra, so he gets the win on TDA You have to let the Wooki win. Flash is good. Hero > Stats. Zerg > Protoss.
Ace match: CJ sends out a zerg on gerg shipyard, KT sends out flash and wins 4-3
The main question is whether they will go 3 hatch before pool, or want the pool and queens faster in order to kill any overlords and to start getting gas and tech faster, delaying economy to be more aggressive.
On December 24 2012 19:53 nastyyy wrote: ZvZ on Arkanoid? Why would both teams choose to put a zerg on that map?
Maybe they both have zerg strats which are effective against terran, and expected their opponents to put out a terran, and ended up with zvz.
That's the beauty of proleague. While a map may seem favoured to a particular race, it's pretty much irrelevant due to sniper strats and the chance of something like this happening. Also preconceptions of Z being super weak don't seem to have come true, since it's T 3 - 2 Z in current games, so why NOT put a zerg on it?
Plus the teams have stats from playing in house in practice, so they know things we don't.
Proleague is proleague. Player choices don't always make sense to outsiders because there's a lot more to it than "oh, this map looks terran favoured, lets assume everyone should put out terrans all day every day".

I think foreigners, and especially some women are just dying to be 'discovered' by planting their face in each camera they see.. Thats embarrassing. Being humble and shy infront of many viewers is lovable. I really can't stand the "look at me, really look at me, why aren't you looking at me!" Followed by the fake smile when the camera finally locks. Ugh.
Ahwel there is probably a middle road; one where you can be shy and still smile
Did action ever get a lair? Seems to me like if he hadn't sent all his queens through, he could have tried a muta follow up given that Action was late on the lair. He would have been behind overall in some ways, but ahead on tech and wouldn't have been attacked in the near term due to all the rocks.

The Nydus tactic failed (it was smart tho, but the damned rocks delayed the attack and allowed the spine crowlers to be almost done) and Action was so far ahead, that the GG was inevitable .
The only trouble with that, Loxley, is that there are (even worse) girls who pretend to be camera shy and are clearly absolutely loving the attention (not Koreans). Most vexing. >:|
i really fell in love with PL, but i wished the games were better. its quite disappointing sometimes
They still have some catching up to do. A few are Code S level, but most of the players we are seeing have a long way to go before they could think about qualifying for Code A.

The rocks didn't delay the attack, they allowed the attack to happen at all.
I think with sensible overlord coverage, you wouldn't be able to get up a nydus at all anyway, unless your opponent was super greedy. Action already had a couple of lings out.
I think the main thing is that action doesn't seem to have been monitoring the third. If he'd seen the lack of a third he would have known something was up anyway without needing to scout the lair.

Hopefully they learn to get into their groove. I remember watching Tasteless a long time ago (and wolf in 2011) and they act / sound / mannerisms are completely different now then before. It's an art and it takes time to learn IMO, but they do have to apply themselves.

Still rings true though, in Europe we don't really see basketball as a sport.

Sure it's played as a social sport in schools throughout europe but when it comes to teams, leagues and sport events, basket is not really considered a fundamental sport.

It might not be in your country, but there are a number of European countries where it's big. I think it is (or was) pretty massive in Greece, and maybe the Iberian penninsula, possibly Italy, but I am not sure.

They dun got sniped by a group of rine marauder, the one just warped in barely didn't have enough energy when SkyHigh attacked.
The storms on the first attack were super, but I wonder what happened with the storms for the 2nd attack ? And he should have pulled the HTs to the main base, if they didn't have enery for storms, not with the main army in the front lines, so they can be picked by the terran . But, oh well, mistakes can happen :p.
Aww that was too bad . Losing the 2 ht at beginning of the 2nd attack. Also shouldn't have gone for 2/2 upgrades when you know its an all in. Could've had 2 more ht with that gas.

It's probably been beaten to death at this point but the casters have been pretty bad compared to community standards. They have little analytical knowledge and to be frank, a poor articulation of the English language.
Regardless of that, great game by Flash. Did some solid damage off the bat with the proxy marauders and rode that wave all the way to the end.

Yes, you need to be registered with KeSPA to be able to play in their Proleague. And I guess they're fine with not having more than 8 teams at this time in terms of schedule.

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't there a cultural thing like if you have your face more than a few seconds on TV you will lose your soul ? I would like the right answer because EVERYONE is asking this. Am i right ? or did i imagine that ?
I don't think its a part of Korean culture but I have heard about the soul stealing-camera belief is my sociology class. My guess would be that they hide their faces because they are just shy or they don't think they are good looking. Korean culture is very "looks" based (just look at the kpop industry). I don't like pictures myself because I always feel like I'm going to look bad in them. It's probably the same for them but its weird because like ALL the girls act like that.
And only the girls, not the boys. That's even stranger.

every time someone asks this i want to answer until i remember someone will probably ask the next day and everyone will answer incorrectly.
it's not fucking soul stealing that's retarded. it's because koreans are very superficial and care about appearance, if they get a picture or video of themselves they want to be wearing all the makeup and the best clothing they can afford. they are afraid of looking uglier than they can be essentially.

Yeah im really digging my choice to add flash to my mainteam and kick out bogus :D
An amazing game by Flash . Strong defense vs those pesky blink stalkers, lost some medivacs stupidly, but with the superb economy - it wasn't that hard to beat the chargelots from hero .

Leta is fun to watch no matter he wins or loses. Great personality.

It was really close, but Flash took it home for KT. At least some FPL points. Had hoped for a clearer result though.
And LOL at that Jaedong interview at the EG house on the Korean stream just now, haha! Jaedong trying to pronounce ThorZaiN's name correctly, rofl!! <3 And giving love messages to everyone on the team... they're all laughing pretty hard.

I know how you feel, LETA is annoying cheesy cheating little wimp, but the game isn't the same without him.

Leta is the cutest crossdresser in the world, and he uses ghosts and lockdown and shit. And he didn't cheat ;; Stop channeling Artosis.

Yea I absolutely love when a blatantly biased caster's team loses. Nothing matches those tears. I understand that they are human beings too and as such have favorite players/teams, but I honestly think casters should do their best to be neutral.

Well his audience-is-some-cheese-happening peeks are rather well known, but maybe its all just misunderstanding. I like him anyway, only good guys league would be boooooring.
Hopefully this is a sign that logic is being restored to the world and herO[join] will stop dominating proleague despite having the worst record in Mvp vs Proleague invitational. One can hope that us herO[join] anti-team owners can start to see some more herO[join] losses in the future.

He's the ace of the defending team champions -.-
I guess I can't call you out on that 'cause soO won MVP and I put him as my first anti (which didn't turn out too bad anyway) but still..

I'm not disagreeing that it was a dumb move to put hero[join] bonjwa on my anti team. It certainly won't happen again.
The funny thing about drafting purely based on last season's proleague rsults though: Trap was the winningest player in proleague last season with something like a 21-6 proleague record(with bw included but still), and yet he has a negative record this season, so I think an argument could be made that this season's draft was more of an art than a science due to the 3 month break period between proleagues.

lol @ how far fanboyism can go
FFs dont care about units or micro :p
pulled scvs pushed sentries away from the ramp, herO can't land a good forcefields from his sentry position, and can't get close to the ramp because of scvs.
Look at the vods again, his sentries are always very far from the ramp, except the first FF.

lol indeed - you're offensive just because of my KT sign, fanboyism at it's finest. you can see hero's sentry struggling to move but being surrounded witch scvs.

I agree with you but i think it is hero mistake. However, i think flash would die for this attack but he hold it. That's enough. Sharkie, you must watch vod before judging someone.
EDIT: oh wow his scvs did block the sentries. I guess hero really shouldve gone for the ramp ff earlier, but maybe he didn't think he needed to that early?

I think the scvs might have blocked the sentries from getting close. However, I am not sure whether that was Flash's intention or not (could be). Because he didn't move the scv's to block when the sentries when they were warping in. The scvs actually moved because the stalkers blinked behind the sentries. You can clearly see the movement of the scvs occurred once the stalkers blinked.

That's true, probably not intentionally. But pros need to notice this kind of stuff when they review the replays to improve.
It's a bit of the combination of the two: Hero could have tried to move his sentries closer faster, and since he didn't react fast enough, Flash blocked them with his SCVs. That being said, Hero did have very little time to react after his sentries were warped in.
