Consider his position, he had 2/2, was on his side of his map for defender's, had a superior concave, against Xlord's clumped army with few infestors and less energy on them then the previous engagement. Xlord had a bank, but frankly it wasn't that big, and he also didn't have many larva left.
Yes Stephano was behind, his infestor tech was super late, and his 4th was about to be sniped, the only thing we can conclude from that is Xlord had an advantage, but I don't agree that the advantage was so insurmountable that he could get a clear win.
If, say Xlord loses his entire army to a poor engagement in the choke and loses his Infestors, suddenly Stephano has a chance to get his 4th, infestors and stabilize. If say, Xlord retreats and regroups, waits for Infestors and energy etc, he is still ahead, but Stephano has time to also regroup, set up defenses etc.
Conclusion, Xlord was ahead, but he hadn't killed the army of Stephano and, he hadn't entered the production line of Stephano. The magnitude of the advantage Xlord had wasn't big enough to justify a win for Xlord.
And because of this Stephano's decision is ridiculously stupid, he wasn't even going to fight for his own right to play. If a regame was settled in PartinG vs MKP, Stephano had every right to call for a regame, but he didn't.
I never really liked him as a person, but I could respect him as a player, now I actively dislike him. And I can't believe how many people are actually arguing this was a good decision, and not even bringing out solid facts to back up their opinions. This was, in my opinion the worst decision that could have occurred ever since the GSTL incident.
Relax... man

EG-TL is tied for 5th in the proleague, which is pretty good all things considered Ok. Do you know what's happening with Idra ? Haven't heard anyting about him in the past few weeks...? I guess the other players are doing local tourneys (?) but with all of their potential lineup, I haven't heard much about them lately ? IdrA finished top 16 at BWC. Suppy finished top 8. DeMuslim lost 3-2 to viOLet in ro8 at NASL. But if you consider their reputation as being arguably the best foreign team, they are actually doing pretty poorly. Team Acer - Nerchio won HSC 5 and Dreamhack Open: Bucharest - Scarlett won WCS North America Team Liquid - Taeja won MLG Summer Arena, ASUS ROG 2012, Dreamhack Valencia and finished 2nd in Dreamhack Winter 2012. He also All-killed Prime and IM in IPTL - Hero won Dreamhack Winter 2012 and NASL Season 4 No doubt EG has some great players, but they are more known for their community participation (InControL and IdrA) and their history as a great E-sport team, than for their actual accomplishments. When you try to justify which is the best foreign team, isn't it cheating to list the accomplishment of the team's Koreans?
The only reason i am mentioning Taeja and Hero is because EG bought plenty of Koreans themselves. And by plenty i mean JYP and Puma since Jaedong and Revival only recently joined.

Light was amazingly good at SC2, but he has vanished. hon_sin (Bravo) is also doing very well currently in Proleague after being a non factor in BW.

Now people can shut the fuck up about it? No, why should we? HSC messed up, Stephano stepped up. The issue remains however. In the case of a DC they should re-game, unless one party was on the verge of winning.
The problem is defining the verge of winning, dimaga and snute thought Xlord was on a verge of winning, unless serious fuck up.

You are too rational imo ... Try to be in the place of the players and not to think too much.
