I believe it should always be a regame unless a player intentionally pulls the plug, fair and simple

i really dont get how ppl say they must be 100% sure. cmon u r almost never 100% sure to win. how much would it be to give a win? 80? 70?

Stephano = man
xlord = child
Their careers speak for themselves.
I'mma buy myself a huge case of Monster just for you Stephi!

Yes i think so too. Stephano was a few fights before far ahead and XLord only come back because of good army/micromanagement. (Dimaga and Snute said too, that stephano will win now) So if Connection was lost in that fight, stephano would have got win?
I dont like this. Regame would be less painful.

The people we should be pissed at are Blizzard. This situation should not have occured in the first place. Imho having an esports game than hinges on the state of your internet connection is a very bad thing.
|
Xlord was 50 supply ahead. Had better army composition. was up 1 base, had more eco, had more bank. he had 8 infestors compared to none. How the fuck do you hate on xlord for defending his win? hate on blizzard

Given how well Xlord has been playing this event, it's fair to assume he wasn't going to just move-click into Stephano if the game continued. To award a win instead of regame you have to be in a position where basically just a-moving is enough to win. It's not fair to assume anything

If I was Stephano I would be tilting right now

lol who is that random bald dude?

You wouldn't consider it fair to replay a football match when one team is leading 3:0 in the 75th minute and suddenly the floodlights go out, preventing the game from finishing, would you?
Start from the 75th minute
OH WAIT
blizz still hasn't implemented this feature.

I don't blame XlorD for arguing his case - but the difference in how he did so as opposed to Stephano. Stephano stayed back outside of the stream camera shot.
XlorD aggressively moved forward, to the point of potentially being fully in TLO's space.
Sure, he should get the win. But he could have been a little less in their face about it.

This game clearly doesn't need LAN.

I hope MMA beats stephano. I want to see more tears from stephano fanboys.

MMA is not happy about that. Still handsome guy, same level as Bisu!

Yes, many people were complaining about the regame. It was a very controversial decision. Oh please, that's bullshit. People were saying stuff like "OMG MKP can come back from anything!! Regame!!!" Polls showed that.
There also people who felt that MKP was dead since PartinG was camping the production. There were many people who were on both sides of the fence. Almost all had a very strong opinion.

XLORD must be hanged!
BBBBBut the game wasn't 100% and that is all anyone is saying.

Leaves a sour taste in my mouth--decisions should be made by admins and players should have 0 say. Good on Stephano for giving the win, though, and realizing that further conflict could be avoided. At the same time, I can understand XlorD's position where he is the underdog and has to fight for every win in most tournaments he plays in--he needs/wants (very badly) this win.

No reason to handle that situation as they did. 3 other pros playing the part of judge while everyone else watches around them. Take should have taken the casters to the side and then make the decision and cut this bullshit, it's either regame or xlord wins. Now stephano had to make the bad decision for himself just so the situation wouldn't get any worse. And now he has to play against MMA with a bad mindset while Xlord is probably not even enyoing his first place finish.

Don't make the fucking players make the decision. NO ADMINS TO DECIDE? Voting would have been even more retarded.
Like TLO said it's not even near sure who would've won. This started to feel so god damn unprofessional.
Also, XlorD seems to be a dick. Well not like I'm surprised, but it's 100% sure I'm never going to like a player like that. Swearing and screaming "I WON THAT GAME LOOK AT IT", seriously? I don't like Stephano that much but jeez, at least he had the balls even though it was wrong as fuck.
My good mood is over and I'm glad I didn't buy the ticket. You would rather have some random admin decide than three professional zerg players?
Yes tournaments have admins and "referees" for a reason. And they even told the viewers the admins are discussing the situation, but no, then they weren't the ones to decide.
OFC it's not players who should decide if an another player won or not. But like I said, TLO was the one who had the best opinion of the situation.
Well Stephano earned my respect and XlorD lost it all.
