People need to give up the way they think the game should be played and just have fun watching the matches. I agree wholeheartedly, these matches are sooo fun to watch. Way more entertaining than any other tournament.

Probably not, but I like Caldeaum and Planet S isn't too terrible. But if seeing Arkanoid in GSL was the alternative to see the same maps for every single tournament for like a year, then hell yeah I'd want to see Arkanoid in GSL.

I think lots of people think that you shouldn't gg until you have nothing left and they're sacking your main. But that their Fantasy of how games should end.
I wasn't aware how bad it was for him, but yeah I feel like you shouldn't gg until there's an army attacking your base and you have no way to defend. Even if it's virtually zero chance of winning it's still almost never actually zero so it's +EV to hang in, and also for spectators it's jarring to have the game end suddenly while nothing is actually happening.
that's a tough map for terran I think, the meta is weird.
reaper opening is bad against zerg, but good against toss. choke points not as effective as they seem (bunkers on the highground??) expanding is going to be near impossible.

Maybe not, but I love that Pro-League is using a new map pool I watch just for the new maps. Want to know how tournaments can differentiate themselves and create compelling games and reasons to watch? Unique map pools.
If all of the different tournaments had different map pools I think the overall viewing experience would pick up. We'd see new strategies more often. The only people it would suck for obviously would be the players who have to split practice time between all of the different maps the tournaments use, but that would open doors for people who don't have opportunities to travel all over the world to practice specific map pools and potentially upset some of the more established players. Which I think is a good dynamic to have.

It's only going to be ZvZ, TvZ, or TvT.
With HotS and the "air focus" there it might become a viable idea ...
I want to see arkanoid every where its games are so unconventional and different which is what I like to see rather than Antiga, Entombed, Daybreak, etc.

why not? win rate for each race seem balance for the last two weeks, games are extremely interesting. viewers turn in just to see this map. The best thing is that I can still imagine a million more ways to play Arkanoid.

Yea roro was on 5 bases for quite a while and i dont even think last realized it :/ also after that first main battle with the flank it was pretty much over...
