If HerO wins game 2, does DRG just pick Whirlwind for game 3 or something? There's so may "Z favored" maps in the pool, in a loser picks format, the Zerg seems to always have the edge.
Who's the bigger scrub, the scrub, or the scrub who loses to him?

He was probably worry about the wonwonwon and the units can always be used to deny the 3rd. Of couse, it would not have been ideal to have that many units. But it wouldn't have been that bad.

It's pretty bad because the protoss can just call off the attack and expand after he kills those units.

Glad Parting got his revenge, but I wish that wasn't MVP's second loss so we can have some Terrans in the tournament. Anyone have an update on MVP's recovery from his wrist surgery (I think that was it)? Has he stated if he's fully recovered yet?

His condition isn't really recoverable besides doing complex surgery which would put him out for months (his condition is NOT similiar to Flash's at all). All he can do right now is do treatment to help with the pain.

He's also fighting against age, he's 10 years older than almost all his top competition. I love MVP but he's probably on the way out in a ruthless super competitive environment like RTS. And it only is going to get more demanding from here with more need for high APM, multi-tasking and constant practice.

He's 21... Who are his 11 year old competitors? LOL

Haha you're right.. I was thinking of his team mate Nestea who is much older. I never realized how young MVP is. My bad.

I dont know what hero is doing here, should have invited Creator or Taeja instead.

TaeJa missed his chance when he lost to HerO 4-0 in Dreamhack Winter. Plus, TaeJa can't beat any Korean Terrans except Bong[S.G.] or whatever his name is. How do you expect him to do anything in a tournament that's 50% protoss?

yeah man i agree, i just wish we could see Taeja we had in summer, thats the one i meant

Just put him in a winner team league format or a foreign tournament(and don't invite Hero I guess).

this is why kespa maps with their (supposed) imbalances wouldn't work in a losers' pick format.
but yeah, that's how it works lol

I think you see my point though: the map pool seems very Z favored with last pick if the maps are indeed that Z favored.

Haha. Funny that zergs/protoss has the best early game all-ins/pressures now. Terrans only have the 11/11.

Terran has theirs. The one Noblesse and Bomber killed DRG with, Polt's Marauder Hellion. 2 Factory Blue Flame etc etc.

DRG didn't build ANY units... Marauders hellions has not work for ages. 2 Fac Blue Flame is decent if zerg doesn't make roaches. But if you look at the game, it seems that Ts lose to all-ins much more frequently in their match ups. One reason is maybe the popularity of the 3 CC builds.

It's not so much that Terran has the weakest all-ins, it is that the other races have better defenses/scouting/reaction.

Protoss has forcefield and stalker micro to survive super early timings, and observer to scout and react to any later timing.

Zerg has overlords and speedlings to scout any build, and the flexibility to react with larvae.

Terran has bunkers, which are very good in their own right, but realistically any P all-in has an easy counter (Forcefields, Immortals, Warp Prism, Blink, Colossus); and any Z all-in has either banelings or very early roaches, or both.

--

Also a lot of it has to do with the meta-game. Zergs and Protoss typically have not all-in'd Terrans, so it's hard to predict (also as I said, hard to scout) and Terrans have less practice reacting to all-ins. On the other hand, Terrans all-in all the damn time, so Protoss and Zerg have lots of practice scouting (because they have good scouting options) and reacting (because they have more flexible/effective reactions). Finally, on top of it being hard to scout and react for the Terran, it also just doesn't make a lot of logical sense for the Z or P to all-in in the first place, considering how strong they are in the late-game vs. Terran.

It sounds grim, but it's just the way it is, and the way it has always been. It's not even a terrible game design, just frustrating at times (just as scv pulling and mules are frustrating). We'll see what happens in HOTS... but instead of giving Terran scouting options in HOTS, they opted for stronger defenses (Widow Mine).
