At your cap again? Thank you very much for all the work you always put into these threads!
not quite yet, but i will be soon, plus both my saturdays are occupied (the GSL/OSL finals) so T_T. i actually did the LR for GSTL finals last time while being capped haha (just followed the LR to know what happening)
i can still help with premaking threads, etc, but someone else can man them :D thanks everyone
So, I'll still send my write-up to you, then? Or, I mean, of course - otherwise you're ruining e-sports!

Seemed Like Gumiho made some critical errors, his army was out of position many times, he forgot siege tech and his composition wasn't ideal. I feel that symbol didn't play brilliantly but it wasn't like gumiho played masterfully. Gumiho made the biggest mistakes and therefore he lost.
People saying "infestors are good" or "zerg is imba" just don't have a very good understanding of the game.
Hmmmm apparently Taeja doesn't have a very good understanding of the game.....

I can understand not wanting to field Leenock because of his ZvZ and TSL's strong Zerg lineup. But even if that is the case it probably would have made more sense to send Gumiho now, hope he cleans up enough of their zergs that he either A) takes it or B) pushes them to their ace who, hopefully, won't be a zerg, in which case they field Leenock as their own ace.
His ZvZ? As far as i know Leenock is strongest in ZvZ.
Just checked his TLPD and it looks like you're right. I don't know why I thought he had really weak ZvZ. Might just be a bad impression left over from a bad game or 2 I guess.
In that case, this makes even less sense.
No, Leenock's ZvZ is really bad in the sense that it is inconsistent. His ZvP is his strongest matchup at the moment.
Now I didn't watch the games, but did Gumiho REALLy forget siege? Lately I've been seeing a lot of tvz where the meching terran would get siege really stupidly late. Like.. so often that I figured it was intended, I'm just assuming this is one of those cases. Am I wrong? (likely am, but just was I noticed recently)

Yeah, he did forget it. He also had a hellion/banshee moveout that was stupidly good, microed really well but he forgot to add production behind it. Then suiciding a ton of banshees to corruptors, not switching into vikings early enough... It just seemed off to me.

That game between Gumiho and Symbol was great, but it was really shocking how extremely delayed Gumiho's response to the broodlords was. He def could have had that game.
Every time I watch a TvZ, and I'm excited to see good ways for Zerg to deal with mech, it seems like the meching player wins or they make such colossal errors that the game isn't representative of a normal TvZ mech game. That said, Symbol vs. Gumiho was a really fun game to watch, I love how scrappy Gumiho is. You can never assume that just because he's at 40 supply at 25:00 that he's out of the game.
Really disappointing loss. Glad to see Ragnarok shine (no pun intended), he's been on TSL forever and never really done anything. I love seeing players like that do awesome, like Seed, YongHwa et al.
