MMA was just really unlucky Mvp decided to finally stop losing to him in GSL, I was hoping for an MMA win this season originally.

It's Polt's fault for beating MVP first though.

not doing particularly well lately tbh

they were all-killed by younghwa, but who hasn't been all-killed by younghwa? They beat MVP 5-4 in the IPTL. They lost to EG in the IPTL. They beat EG in the EGMCSL. They are atm 4-0 in EGMCSL. They were in the finals of the most recent GSTL. Maybe compared to your standards, that's not doing particularly well but plenty would disagree with that

How about individual leagues bro.

How about NSHoseo? No one in the GSL. Prime? MKP made RO8 Gsl. MVP? DRG made RO8 OSL. The only teams that really look strong are ST and IM. However, it is true that Slayers isn't doing incerdibly well right now. I'll give you that.

NSH is the only gom team doing worse than slayers imo haha
prime? creator won WCS, MKP ro8 is better than MMA ro32
MVP is a bit on the down too, with their star slumping

MMA was in a group with TaeJa, Mana, and MVP, two of whom are currently in the RO4 and poised to take this GSL. MKP was in a group with Curious, JD, and MC. He lost to Curious, then beat JD and MC 2-1. Jaedong's play has been wholly uninspiring. And MC just got demolished by alive 2-0 in the Ro32 Code A. Not exactly contextually correct to say that "MKP's ro8 is better than MMA ro32" seeing as how MKP would've been demolished in MMA's group

The thing is the reason MMA was put in that group is because of his lackluster GSL performance throughout 2012. MMA was considered a Tier 3 player for this season while MKP was considered a Tier 2. It would have been 100% impossible for MKP, MVP, and Taeja to be in the same group so it doesn't matter that if MKP was in that group he would have got eliminated.

You realize all of that is completely irrelevant when the only point of discussion here is that MMA's group was 50x harder than MKP's group?

It is relevant because you said MKP's run was less impressive because if he got put in MMA's place he wouldn't have advanced. It was impossible for him to put into MMA's place because he has actually done half-way decent in GSL this year though.

What are you talking about? The only thing we are arguing here is whether or not MMA's group was easier/harder than MKP's group. Previous results are irrelevant. What matters is how they performed in their groups once they got there and how hard their groups were

doesn't matter, ro8 > ro32 in my book

lol well clearly your book doesn't mind taking things out of context

also, i don't think many would disagree with the fact that mkp is doing better lately than mma lately, too (for most of this year), so can't see how you miss that context too.

I wouldn't disagree with that either. But we're not talking about overall results 2012. We're talking about their most recent code s performance. And I don't think many would disagree with the fact that mkp's opponents in gsl were 50x easier than mma's to get to ro8

looks like you have quite a few disagreeing with you already. it's not impossible for mkp to advance from such a group, he's got the h2h lead over taeja and something like 85% TvT this year.

That is completely irrelevant because due to GSL seeding it would have been impossible for MKP to be in MMA's group because he is seeded higher.

MKP had the easier group. It doesn't matter his stats in TvT. MasterKang is addressing the GROUP not stats of how well a player is doing. If you honestly believe that MVP and Taeja in a group is easier than Jaedong and MC, both of who have dropped out (well MC going to up and downs), you honestly have to reevaluate what "easy" means
