Genius is pretty hard to rate, because he's been a "good but not great" for almost his entire career, but somehow played quite well for one season. Whether that was luck or just a sudden burst of concentration and real skill is pretty debatable. But right now? He's back to being just 'good.'
AdministratorHey HP can you redo everything youve ever done because i have a small complaint?

At least wait to see the coming results before you say that. :O

As much as I would love to see Genius do well again and have this not be true, I have to agree.

I forgot Alicia existed, where the hell has he been? Not played for Slayers in team leagues either for a while I think.

He got second place in 3 foreign tournaments during the summer this year, now he's kinda off the map.

He's been playing his NASL games, but has been MIA for everything else =/ http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/North_American_Star_League_Season_4/Divisions/Division_3

I think Genius is like the 15th best Protoss in Korea, if that's " good ".

I'm on the opinion Genius is lacking motivation to play good.
He's back on his " I'm doing well enough "

I have no idea where he is GSL wise tho. oO

they were all-killed by younghwa, but who hasn't been all-killed by younghwa? They beat MVP 5-4 in the IPTL. They lost to EG in the IPTL. They beat EG in the EGMCSL. They are atm 4-0 in EGMCSL. They were in the finals of the most recent GSTL. Maybe compared to your standards, that's not doing particularly well but plenty would disagree with that

How about individual leagues bro.

How about NSHoseo? No one in the GSL. Prime? MKP made RO8 Gsl. MVP? DRG made RO8 OSL. The only teams that really look strong are ST and IM. However, it is true that Slayers isn't doing incerdibly well right now. I'll give you that.

NSH is the only gom team doing worse than slayers imo haha
prime? creator won WCS, MKP ro8 is better than MMA ro32
MVP is a bit on the down too, with their star slumping

MMA was in a group with TaeJa, Mana, and MVP, two of whom are currently in the RO4 and poised to take this GSL. MKP was in a group with Curious, JD, and MC. He lost to Curious, then beat JD and MC 2-1. Jaedong's play has been wholly uninspiring. And MC just got demolished by alive 2-0 in the Ro32 Code A. Not exactly contextually correct to say that "MKP's ro8 is better than MMA ro32" seeing as how MKP would've been demolished in MMA's group

doesn't matter, ro8 > ro32 in my book

lol well clearly your book doesn't mind taking things out of context

also, i don't think many would disagree with the fact that mkp is doing better lately than mma lately, too (for most of this year), so can't see how you miss that context too.

I wouldn't disagree with that either. But we're not talking about overall results 2012. We're talking about their most recent code s performance. And I don't think many would disagree with the fact that mkp's opponents in gsl were 50x easier than mma's to get to ro8

Dark brought down already both TL aces, things sure looking grim from here.

Generally said, Dark is one of the better revelations from Slayers School this year. They dont even need to seed CoCa at this point.

The thing is the reason MMA was put in that group is because of his lackluster GSL performance throughout 2012. MMA was considered a Tier 3 player for this season while MKP was considered a Tier 2. It would have been 100% impossible for MKP, MVP, and Taeja to be in the same group so it doesn't matter that if MKP was in that group he would have got eliminated.

it's tough to make that argument because we don't know who MMA would have faced in the Ro16.

It's amazing how good the Slayers b-team can look, yet they get completely crushed bby equal players at other times.

Dark brought down already both TL aces, things sure looking grim from here.

Generally said, Dark is one of the better revelations from Slayers School this year. They dont even need to seed CoCa at this point.

I would actually like to see Coca just to be sure that he has recovered. (If he has)

Welp, BL/Infestor/Corruptor saves SlayerS it appears.

slayers never needed saving lolz

not doing particularly well lately tbh

they were all-killed by younghwa, but who hasn't been all-killed by younghwa?

You realize all of that is completely irrelevant when the only point of discussion here is that MMA's group was 50x harder than MKP's group?

It is relevant because you said MKP's run was less impressive because if he got put in MMA's place he wouldn't have advanced. It was impossible for him to put into MMA's place because he has actually done half-way decent in GSL this year though.
