Format

Premier Division Group A is made up of four teams: Team Liquid, SlayerS, MVP, and Evil Geniuses. Group B contains LG-Incredible Miracle, StarTale, Prime, and TSL. Both groups will play round robin against each other team in their group. When group stages are over, the top two teams from each Group will play in a playoff for the $9,000 first prize!

I'm likin' the new TeamLiquid roster. Gone are the days of "Team Taeja". I've seen every one of those guys show good games in team/individual matches. What a group effort.

Liquid has to win and EG has to win over MVP. Then EG is in first and the rest are in 3way tie for second.

At least I think that's right. Somebody correct me if necessary.

Yeah they are, but I think mapscore will count before that, so besides what you said they also need better mapscore than Slayers and MVP

So TL has to win at LEAST 5-3, which would put them at 12-13

And then MVP would have to lose by a score of 2-5 or worse. 3-5 puts them at 12-13, tied with TL, at which point I assume it goes to head to head?

If TL wins their map score will be 12 wins and 10+X loses depending on how many games they drop today, and Slayers will have at best a map score of 10-14 (assuming they lose 4-5). TL also needs EG to win next week by a decent margin (5-3 or 5-2) to get second place. I wouldn't be surprised if TL opens with Taeja or Hero.

tl:dr TL must win this match by a large margin and hope EG wins next week to advance from the group.
P.S If TL wins today EG will get top 2 in the group even if they lose next week vs MVP (so go TL!).

I'd be very surprised if TL actually decides to throw out a foreigner in this match considering the importance of map score.

This match is huge. If Liquid wins by a good margin then they can still make it to the playoffs if EG beats MVP by 5-2 or better. It's a long shot but EG is tearing up this league so we'll see.

Edit: Calling it now: Hero all-kill incoming.

Tbh I can't favour zombie slayers vs most teams (Except hoseo) I think TL's 4 Koreans should be able to defeat zombie slayers unless ryung, mma, genius and alicia decide to really put it together or perhaps the return of coca from illness (Don't think puzzle can recover in time sadly)

I doubt SlayerS can win this even if they send their A-team. The Liquid Koreans are looking better and better, while SlayerS slowly declines further and further.

(Or if SlayerS gives it their all, Liquid 5-3 :p)

And they played this match before Sea was an official member, according to the liquidpro write-up.

Nevertheless I'm sure HotGlueGun is predicting a Hero All-Kill which I wholeheartedly agree with.
