MMA's group had Mana in it.

Yes and he crushed Mana 2-0, your point?

I understand that you using hyperbole to make a point, but it would have been sufficient to say that MKP's Ro32 group was easier than MMA's Round of 32 group (which judging purely from matchups would be true). However, MMA essentially got a free win in that group while MKP barely made it out.

MMA beat Mana to stay in the group. MKP beat Jaedong. Both players immediately dropped down to Code B. If by your definition, mana is a "Free win", then it's pretty safe to say jaedong was a "Free win" as well

Oh you, comparing Jaedong to Mana. Also, you should probably look at Jaedong's games in the RO32 before you call him a free win, not that you should ever call Jaedong a free win in the first place.

Yeah mana, only one of the only foreigners to advance out of a group with bomber, keen, hyun, and jjakji and NOT get knocked out immediately after being seeded. If jaedong is so amazing as you claim why was he knocked out immediately by a relative no-name protoss?

Look at you continuing to badmouth Jaedong while not watching his games. So silly of you.

So silly of you to ignore the fact he got 2-0'd by Finale, a no-name protoss. I'm not badmouthing him, I'm just not stupidly biased like you are and can face the facts

Please stop this until you watch his RO32 games. Also Finale beat Parting yesterday I believe.

I think that was Vampire who coin flipped his way to beating Parting yesterday.

Oh my bad lol, at least I got the team right.

I wouldn't disagree with that either. But we're not talking about overall results 2012. We're talking about their most recent code s performance. And I don't think many would disagree with the fact that mkp's opponents in gsl were 50x easier than mma's to get to ro8

looks like you have quite a few disagreeing with you already. it's not impossible for mkp to advance from such a group, he's got the h2h lead over taeja and something like 85% TvT this year.

three random people on TL forums, whose knowledge/intelligence are completely unknown, don't exactly phase me. He's got the H2H lead over TaeJa when you consider 2011 lol. but this is 2012, the year where Taeja has been considered the best player in the world for the majority of. Don't you remember when TaeJA all-killed Prime and crushed mkp in the ace match? If you made a poll: who would win in a best of 7, taeja or mkp, I'm 99% sure that 95% ppl would vote taeja.

actaully, taeja held the h2h last year, but mkp does this year.
don't forget mkp's drubbing of taeja 5-1 in ipl. i'm sure such a poll would not favour taeja heavily, if at all.

well this point of his argument was that mkp would have dropped out of the ro32 - no, demolished - if he was in MMA's group, which is something i disagree with.

perhaps demolished is hyperbole, but the vast majority would agree that mkp's group was much much easier and that his chances of advancing in MMA's group are extremely extremely slim

not extremely slim -> mana should be an easy win, while mvp is difficult, and taeja is definitely beatable.

The fight club match was not during TaeJa's rise to prominence. Early 2012 TaeJa is a COMPLETELY different player than he is now. There is a reason TaeJa is poised to take the GSL and MKP is not. TaeJa has been demolishing everybody, with the exception of Rain and younghwa. For you to say that Taeja is not ridiculously favored against mkp is well, ridiculous

actually, it was during june, which is about that time taeja did well
taeja has been dropping games left and right... don't know how much you keep up

Yet Taeja is in Ro4 while MKP is out. Yup dropping games left and right, but still about to win GSL. nice.

yeah, taeja is doing better than mkp right now. but he is not the favourite in a head to head.

i really wish we could make a poll about who would win in a best of 7. And a poll with a sufficient pool of participants. I guarantee you taeja would be greatly favored, maybe unless you posted it on reddit since they are all mkp fans

this is why I said "with a sufficient pool of participants", not with 4 mkp fanboys who have no idea who they're talking about. In a poll with at least 200 people randomly chosen, taeja would win by a landslide

MKP is far from a top level TvT, and far from his best shape imo

Mvp, TaeJa, MMA, Bomber, Polt, Alive, probably LasT would be all favored.

I wouldn't disagree with that either. But we're not talking about overall results 2012. We're talking about their most recent code s performance. And I don't think many would disagree with the fact that mkp's opponents in gsl were 50x easier than mma's to get to ro8

Also Finale beat Parting yesterday I believe.

no he didnt

looks like you have quite a few disagreeing with you already. it's not impossible for mkp to advance from such a group, he's got the h2h lead over taeja and something like 85% TvT this year.

three random people on TL forums, whose knowledge/intelligence are completely unknown, don't exactly phase me.

MKP is far from a top level TvT, and far from his best shape imo

Mvp, TaeJa, MMA, Bomber, Polt, Alive, probably LasT would be all favored.

wtf. dude, mkp has in excess of 80% TvT this year, and has a winning record again every single terran this year except for Mvp.

Poll: WHO WOULD WIN MKP VS TAEJA BO7 GSL MAPS?

MARINEKING PRIME (35)

65%

LIQUID TAEJA (19)

35%

54 total votes

Your vote: WHO WOULD WIN MKP VS TAEJA BO7 GSL MAPS?

(Vote): MARINEKING PRIME
(Vote): LIQUID TAEJA

BOOM go

this is why I said "with a sufficient pool of participants", not with 4 mkp fanboys who have no idea who they're talking about. In a poll with at least 200 people randomly chosen, taeja would win by a landslide

post it in the Code S semi-finals thread then ;o lots of people will be reading that tonight.

If you honestly believe that MVP and Taeja in a group is easier than Jaedong and MC, both of who have dropped out (well MC going to up and downs), you honestly have to reevaluate what "easy" means

well this point of his argument was that mkp would have dropped out of the ro32 - no, demolished - if he was in MMA's group, which is something i disagree with.

perhaps demolished is hyperbole, but the vast majority would agree that mkp's group was much much easier and that his chances of advancing in MMA's group are extremely extremely slim

not extremely slim -> mana should be an easy win, while mvp is difficult, and taeja is definitely beatable.

MKP is far from a top level TvT, and far from his best shape imo

Mvp, TaeJa, MMA, Bomber, Polt, Alive, probably LasT would be all favored.

I'm saying this as a huge MMA fan, but there is no way that you can put MMA up there, not with how he went 6-0 to Punisher, DreamerTT, and Noblesse.

He's got the H2H lead over TaeJa when you consider 2011 lol. but this is 2012, the year where Taeja has been considered the best player in the world for the majority of. Don't you remember when TaeJA all-killed Prime and crushed mkp in the ace match? If you made a poll: who would win in a best of 7, taeja or mkp, I'm 99% sure that 95% ppl would vote taeja.

actaully, taeja held the h2h last year, but mkp does this year.
don't forget mkp's drubbing of taeja 5-1 in ipl. i'm sure such a poll would not favour taeja heavily, if at all.

wtf. dude, mkp has in excess of 80% TvT this year, and has a winning record again every single terran this year except for Mvp.

He is 0-2 against TheBest hahahaha. Stick that in your craw!

actually, that was bboongbboong playing under MKP IEM account, wasn' it?

You realize results from "this year" are irrelevant when "this year" is about to end? Progamers change a lot in 8 months, taeja arguably one who has changed the most

even in the last 3 months marineking has the best tvt record, lol. did better than all the other dudes he listed except for Mvp in TvT lately.

Perhaps do some research before pulling names out of nowhere. I liked the random addition of LasT though, really topped it off.
