Standard LR rules apply: No balance whining, no KeSPA vs. GomTV inciting, no excessive derailing ESPECIALLY when games are on. This is not a thread for you to argue with other people. |

The production team running behind Rain will come up with as many match-up revolutionising strategies as is required to win every set in any single elimination round. Those people, whoever they are, put the S in RTS.
To Rain's other credit is that he is the cleanest player in the business. There are no unforced errors in his gameplay, and I guess I can attribute this straight away to the rigorous training regimens of the KESPA teams... and we thought we knew what korean training meant.
The big hurdle with the coming of KESPA to SC2 has been the (somewhat expected) revelation, that noone in the ESF establishment has a brain. MVP is actually the only plausible exception to that, but he isn't a convincing exception by comparison, nowhere near ingenious enough.
In closing, I conclude that the entire non-kespa starcraft establishment are slackers, no-brainers and inexperienced in their approach to RTS gaming. Rain 3-0. He is coming in with training and preparation on a whole another level than what the established SC2 scene is yet even able to comprehend.
Please refrain from arguing with me until the results are in.
Please refrain from arguing with you? That seems... weird, I don't understand why you post and look back on threads if you don't want anyone to respond to you... what is the point?
Anyway if this is true MVP should be a very nice match for him as MVP seems like a player who can play well even when he isn't able to practice as much, he is more of a talent player than a talent + training player (not to say he doesn't train).

also taeja will destroy life easily, taeja wont tilt as badly as MKP did, and life hasn't had a straight up match against a top tier player YET.
Seed and MKP not top tier...?
Also I don't understand what you mean by straight-up match, he uses his own playstyle, a particulary effective one that players can't deal with very easily. MKP was a very aggressive player, Seed was a more solid player, based on these games I believe Taeja can come out and shut down Life in the first two games and easily take a third after maybe one loss...
BUT, I don't think he will, I think life will be prepared for him and will beat him in a close insane and amazing series.

Apparently it was moved to the 10th to avoid a conflict with WCS Asia.

What are you talking about? Those odds are terrible.
Mvp should have much much higher odds.

lower odds means higher chance to win.

Severe pain in his right hand. Which is not unexpected, but still really sad.

He was referring to damaged wrists vs healthy wrists.

everyone expected Mvp to lose every time he wins a GSL... starting from GSL August, ppl doubted Mvp winning from ro8 and yet he just shows and proves he stomps his opponents into the ground..
This time around, it'll be tough vs the Kespa players but I think we'll see once again, an Incredible Miracle.

These are going to be some SICK games.
I can not wait!

I have a feeling MVP will pull out some cheese. Nobody wants any part of Rain's lategame.

Everytime MVP in GSL, I expected him to win the whole thing, even the first season he entered GSL, with that sick split marines against banelings.
Except this time, I can see him losing.

Rain is sick, but you can never never never count MVP out... if people do that, he comes around and smashes people :D So i am really exited to see how wins here.

Mvp defies all logic. Seriously, I didn't expect Mvp to win versus PartinG and I believed in Mvp blindly, although I ran back and checked the results as fast as possible to see whether he did it or not. To my pleasant surprise, Mvp got through... with a score of 3-1.
Expectations... Mvp doesn't care. Mvp crushes everybody, fan favorites, foreign hopes, up and comers, veterans, mediocre players, and the top of the competition.

hmm to skip Korean class to go to GOM studios...or not.
