Murphy's law stroke again! Khaldor cannot stream today because he must have eaten something bad last night, but he is trying to stream tomorrow at least

Also Sleep and GoOdy didnt show up to play, so we replaced them with HyuN and Beastyqt.

yeah he did, the current state of the beta is just disgustingly bad, released even close to being this way it would most likely ruin the game completely

I don't know about balance and such things, but I'm a bit disappointed that terran is basically the same. Perhaps it was the most complete race going in to this expansion but new units are always interesting and brings some fresh blood to the game.

What are your thoughts about the beta so far, if you don't mind?

The most recent patch was to intended to limit the MSC's offensive capabilities, no? ToD was still using it quite effectively to break down Sjow's base in their series.

well it is a beta. But it was pretty obvious that an air unit out that fast is a bad idea combined with stalkers who have a huge range for the early game.
Terran defends with bunkers and high ground and the MsC denies this. You basically harass the worker line in the main if they send marines, you break the front and the energy sentries to contain them on one base. It is really easy to fix this problem in multiple ways. But right now its really funny to outright kill your opponent as toss. Reminds me of a move roaches, or 60 hp workers.

I am a bit sad that recall will now be restricted to a defensive ability. While rare, offensive recalls have always been very nice to see. I would prefer if it were moved to, say, the Oracle and limited in the amount of units it can move with a single cast.

I'm really sad if Oracle stays in game. Feels pointless unit to SC universe.

Swarm Host seems decent unit and more enjoyable to watch.

I think normal recall is still on the mothership (normal one)

Offensive recalls so early in the game are pretty broken, for the same reason they've removed offensive highground warp-ins. It leads to Toss being able to completely circumnavigate any form of defense set up.

maybe tempests might change this MU, but when they don't this will be terrible to watch :/

P with better earlygame defense and zerg with a defensive midgame unit that can delay attacks... so we will see even more PvZ lategame (but ok this time without vortex vs BLs...)

Zerg looks pretty sweet. I think in PvZ the "free unit concept" is great, as it forces the Protoss to harass and attack multiple points in order to be on equal footing with the Zerg Lategame. This helps break the Protoss Death Ball play.

Zerg is the worst race when it comes to responding to drops, while Protoss has some of the best harass options(Phoenix, Oracle, Warp Prism ).

Ah I certainly agree, recall on the MSC is pretty silly. Even on normal Oracle, it should be an upgrade or something as it is produced now.

Mass recall on the motherhip core is the same as the old recall, only the Mothership Core Recall abilitiy has been changed which is fine in my book.

This is super freaking fun to watch. Finally some early pressure from Sgate going tosses. Ofc both players could have reacted better, but this actually seems a fun way to play and watch.

Swarm Host needs to be fixed to way shorter range, lower hp and more dmg. Perhaps off creep locust dies 3-4 times faster than in creep.

My god Tod is a complainer, have some respect for the people you are playing against at least.

Bitching about the balance of a beta tournament...why even enter if you can't be nice.

He played awful, and then whines...how about not throwing away 3-4 phoenix's and several zealots in order to kill like...a few overlords.

Colossus aren't working... I know...I'll make a second robo

dumb dumb dumb dumb.
You have to be masters to train bronze league players...apparently.

i feel the same. i actually think protoss received the most fun units in hots (except for the tempest, but if it helps broodlord them i'm happy). swarm hosts are really boring. vipers sound nice but i haven't seen them much in action, even tho i just tuned in.

@winningguy: Tod has always said his opinion from what i remember. He's still no (big) flamer though, which is a good thing.

Wow that's a really good thought, although I might argue that Terran is the worst race when responding to drops. Although given their units are stronger in small numbers, the respawning units can usually deal with drops.

But I really like that viewpoint, that this isn't a new deathball but rather forces a change in the metagame and the diversity of the PvZ playstyle.

I feel Protoss should go back to the race that Bisu Pioneered, one that favors aggression and multitasking.

Look at IPL Fight Club, HyuN just doesn't lose online.

MajOr, Crank, Tear, Grubby, aLive, TitaN... frankly, Tear was the only decent call. aLive is infamous for his inconsistency in TvZ and everyone else is either a foreigner or a b-teamer. They have been sort of soft or careless with him, most other partecipants had a much harder time.

Well I guess they don't like reinviting people and hyun was fortunate to arrive after MKP, taeja, Creator, polt, violet, jjakji, MC and stephano had all played but they really should consider reinviting someone if they want to get rid of hyun (Or someone like seed).
