Roaches are like absolute opposite of cost effectiveness. You need a massive amount of them to even break even in most cases. But with a well timed attack you can basically overrun a protoss who's not prepared properly.

For 75 minerals and 25 gas, coupled with the damage they do and their health roaches are absurdly cost efficient. They just cost a lot of supply. Like Leenock could lose that whole army and easily remax since roaches are so cheap.

Hero will come back and win this 2-1. He was playing with a huge disadvantage last game.

Cloud Kingdom?

Perhaps I did not know HerO's PvZ as well as I thought I did.

roaches are cost efficient, 1 of them can almost go 1 on 1 with even microed stalkers with roach speed, and 2 of them is only 25 minerals more than a stalker, but they are incredibly supply ineffective and have fairly low range which makes them worse and worse the more you get

They are only cost efficient in a vacuum. The more you get the less cost efficient they get, that's what i was going for. Yes stalkers lose to 2 roaches when left alone but with micro and forcefields the battle isn't even close.

They get worse and worse the higher your opponents supply is (while you've been maxed for a while, due to going roaches). The more you have is just better, that's the reason the Stephano 200/200 max out is so powerful!

But I get your point

Or a protoss who's way behind from a failed cannon rush

roaches are the most cost effective unit in the game, but probably the worst food effective

cost being minerals/gas

roaches at 75/25 basically kill a stalker at 125/50 but due to less range 50 stalkers kill 50 roaches due to range mechanics

4 roaches at 300/100 beat a 250/100 immortals as well, but are twice the food

but roaches have other things making them weak in both matchups either tanks or forcefields/collossi/immortals cause roaches to be dealt with by both races

it's cool man, HerO has a plan. Warm-up against Heart and beat Leenock to advance 2nd so he dodges Taeja.
Mmm, what to watch.

But you cannot just compare x unit to y unit. You need to see how they work in game. Roaches get worse and worse the more you got compared to most units unless you can swarm your opponent.

The only reason I want Leenock to win is to avoid Squirtle playing a P v P in the next match. Startale Protosses haven't been doing that great lately in the matchup.
