The first one had IefNaij and Draco being awesome, the second one had NonY come out and kick major ass, and the third one had the rise of ThorZaIN and the triumph of the foreigner scene in general. With this one, almost all the Ro8 was basically unknown, and I felt like that took a lot out of the excitement out of the tourney. I would've liked to have learned more about these players to get me in the mood to watch it. Oh well, there's always next time Anyways, congrats to Creator you can think about this one being creator coming out to kick ass/rise of creator/creator being awesome~

Personally I enjoyed this. It was a very nice online tournament that I really looked forward to. None of the players I initially rooted for made it to this top 4 here, but I had lots of fun anyway. *shrugs*

Tbh with how the scene has progressed there are so many bigger tournaments with bigger names and bigger prizes that TSL isn't really anything special. It's now just a really big online tournament which doesn't mean too much.

Newer players making a break out into the big scene and becoming famous is always a good sign in contrast to watching the same 8 players battle it out over and over again. With that being said, Creator, Life, Keen, First & Curious, all who were in the top 8 are far from unknown. However the drop in viewer numbers look like another case of people not being interested in watching Korean dominance. Don't blame the Koreans for being so pro, blame the foreigners for not keeping up to standard.

Its more about the talent being close to the finals than actually winning I think. The finals not being lived ruined it for me more than anything else.

this TSL4 just didn't have the same magic that TSL3 did. the production was good and so were the casters, but not having a live final will be the deathknell for all future tournaments. online tornaments are very hard for me to get excited about.

I think in order for an online tournament such as TSL to be successfull, it has to at least have some invites which should be the some of the best and most famous players in the world. With this lineup of players, I just didn't care too much. This is more or less how I felt about this tournament. The games were great, but so many of the series were one-sided and the story just wasn't there. Hearing and knowing about Creator's rise, that could be very cool, but it was mostly just a tournament of stomps and that is what it feels like was emphasized -- not the idea of the strongest players rising to a finale after crushing all weaker foes. We needed more writing on this, I think.
