Not that strange.
In the current scene TSL is only a minor tournament, that reflected in the prize and playerpool.
It's an online tournament, so we shouldn't expect much more.
I think TL is reasonably happy with how this TSL went, but SC2 really needs a boost quick cause the game really just isn't pulling the required viewercounts anymore to stay relevant for the next years.

And pretty much what MCDayC said--TSL4 may have been a bit disappointing for a lot of people, but I still really enjoyed it and the LR threads are second to none I've seen

Not everyone's cup of tea for sure. But that does not mean it was not sweet for the ones who did enjoy it.

Most of all, i feel like TSL suffered from how many tournaments currently there are. It's not THE foreigner tournament anymore, which was to be expected. We will see how things develop in the future, realistically i think the number of sc2 tournaments will go down as the market right now is really too saturated.

grats to creator. seemed to be clearly the best player, well deserved cash monies and a decent final series, if only we could have actually got to carriers in game 1.

Yes, amazing tournament and LR thread as usual! I am just deeply worried by the future. If the guy that said only 20k watched is right, how can the teams keep sponsors and the players keep their salaries? They are all fueled by the need of spectators, and a drop of 50-80% viewership in one of the best Star2 tournaments out there seem very dystopic
