The time has come for our thirtieth IGN Pro League Fight Club! This is a weekly king of the hill showmatch series. Basically, there will be a 1 vs. 1 best of 9 showmatch each and every week, where the winner will earn a $500 prize and a $100 bounty on their head. For example, if a player wins three weeks in a row they will have earned $1,500 and a $300 bounty. If a NEW challenger defeats him, they will earn $500 for the showmatch, take the $300 bounty home, and have a new $100 bounty placed on their head for each week that they win.
When: Monday, Aug 20 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also broadcast the match repeatedly afterwards!)
TSL's HyuN put an end to StarTale Squirtle's reign of tyranny, then bulldozed over Root.MajOr last week. He is looking to join the very exclusive three-win club today, but he'll need to get past CranK! CranK is a former SlayerS Protoss that recently garnered some support from TotalBiscuit and Reddit to make a trip to MLG Raleigh. Playing against HyuN here should act as a nice warm-up! Will he have the skills necessary to take down HyuN?

I don't think there is a no mirrors rule. Marineking played TaeJa. they might just try to avoid it but it has happened at least once

It's clear that they'd rather not have a PvP or ZvZ though -- a soft rule rather. Bo7 PvP would be pretty funny though.
I like Kevin/Cats/What the fuck ever. He's a nice guy and he adds that exciting dynamic but who is this person who sounds utterly bored AND adds absolutely nothing at the same time?

I don't understand why Hyun always refuses to build hive tech units. He seems to do this in all matchups, he'll play well into the late midgame and then just doesn't tech - even if he's got lots of bases and money.

Hyun is shaping up, he's very very good at Starcraft 2. I've seen many of his games and development in sc2 (like when he started out in the korean weekly), I was a fan then, and I'm a fan now!

GG and I feel bad for crank because his builds were kind of the same but they all worked very well on ladder.
Hopefully before Raleigh he'll pick up some less predictable builds for his arsenal. It's absolutely necessary. And I know Crank isn't just a one-trick pony. Maybe he just needs to polish up the builds he's not so confident in.
I'd be disappointed to see him fall flat on his face because of his build. All his other skills are amazing, so if he were to get his builds perfect he'd fulfill his potential.
I have noticed actually, that he always goes puts forge + upgrades down way sooner than anyone else. And in the matches he loses to rushes, he'd usually win if he had units first instead of forges/cannons. I understand a single forge and cannon against zerg but he focuses too much on tech and # of buildings instead of taking it one step at a time and ensuring he has proper defense/supply.
On ladder matches he either all-ins or fights before 10 minutes so that's why you saw all those stalkers. But if he just had some archons, HT's, and maybe some harass @ 10 minutes while he builds up his tech, he'd be better off.

Committed too heavily to Roach/Hydra/Corruptor without teching, and basically lost to mass Blink Stalker when all the Colossi were down.
