That's a dull statement. There's clearly a chasm of a difference between spreading your air units and flying them solo and susceptible to snipes. For such a large unit, each individual fungal should preferable not hit more then 2-3 at a time. And I'm not speculating that better micro would have won him the battle, I'll leave that to folks who think they can intuit what are essentially unknowable outcomes. I was merely saying he could have spread more effectively.

http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/6246865686 1. Interceptors flying area is reduced, meaning now they are more concentrated in a smaller area right above the target 2. Carrier can now deploy interceptors facing any direction, meaning much easier back and forth micro, just like in BW! before the patch carriers have to turn to the enemy before launching interceptors. From the carrier thread

They can fire interceptors in any direction instead of only being able to fire them in the direction they are facing and the interceptors fly closer to the target they are shooting.

Yeah, Curious was playing exceptional. I was stating that Squirtle battled for 10+ minutes with his carriers without getting hit with a significant fungal. For as slow and easy to clump up that they are it was amazing he lasted that long. Those HT's really saved him multiple times. I enjoyed that game quite a bit.
