Occasionally the ping from EU to NA can get really bad, like half a second delay and it really fucks up your play. But usually it's ok tbh. Kas is from ukraine, and probably playing from ukraine. Eastern europe latency to NA is said to be absolutely dreadful. if we're going to bring up the lag every time theres a beatdown in the TSL why even have the tourney? So sick of seeing the latency excuse when someone get stomped on. Kas got rolled over by a vastly superior player, lag had absolutely nothing to do with it at any point in time. Well, I was just discussing ping not the results but if we're on the topic.. What do you mean lag had nothing to do with it? How do you know that. Lag is a thing that exists and it affects how you play. Because you can see just from watching them play that Kas isnt on the same level as Life, or any other mid to top korean pro. People who think that he is are delusional fanboys. That's not what I think watching Kas play. He's never gonna compete in Code S but he could take games off a few Koreans imo. I agree, he could take games (not series) off a FEW bottom rung korean pros. Meaning he doesnt stack up at all against anyone noteworthy. He's taken games off Creator and Squirtle before (he beat Squirtle 3-2 in some tournament, forgot which), who are, to say the least, pretty good. Exception to prove the rule imo. Hes not on the same level as top korean pros. Pointing out a single series win doesnt change that fact. You can have all the foreigner hope you want man, but hes just not that good. Haha, if you knew me you'd know that I'm one of the least "foreigner hope"-ey posters, and that what you're saying to me is what I often say to other posters. All I intended to do was to bring up some of Kas's previous achievements against Koreans as food for thought since it seemed a bit unfair to say that he'd only be able to take games off of "bottom rung" Koreans when he's taken games and even a series against top-tier Koreans like Squirtle and Creator.
Like, Kas is good. He is very good. He can take games and matches off Koreans. I just very much doubt that he would consistently do so.
Also, a player can have an off day without it being the end of the world, without him being terrible, without him never having a chance against a Korean again. But I guess this gets lost quite often. (This was obviously not directed at you btw, just adding my thoughts in general.)

That was such a cool game by Curious. I love all the strange, aggressive tech switches he did. It completely threw Squirtle off his game. I always enjoy game where a player dies without having a big fight.

I think I've pointed it out way too many times but the amount of 6pools on entombed is absurd I swear throwing in some gateway expands on this map is needed

How is it even possible ? Curious went 6pool and still managed to have better econ than Squirtle ? Managed to use as much gaz heavy units as he can ?

Could always go 11 forge.

He kept Squirtle on 1 base while double expanding. Then he just kept picking off probes which kept Squirtle's economy low.

Yeah I agree that there's often a lot of hyperbole and generalizations on TL, but I guess that happens on any internet forum... xD

Yeah, I don't want to judge him yet because I'm not sure if he actually suffers from that syndrome all the time or if he was just stressed out by being attacked everywhere and faltered.
But seriously, there are 10 control groups you can and should use. Do it. Only excuse is being used to doing it in another way and not wanting to spend all that time adapting to it. I mean sooner or later, at some point that's gonna bite you in the ass.

Curious with the great mind games, 6 pool one game into 3 hatch before pool the next. At least Curious' play is interesting.

Look at Squirtle's control groups. He uses 4. I've never seen him using more then 5. He definitely does this more often :p

Seven drones on gas. LOL.

This match-up is absolutely killing me. Doing one of the biggest all-in, into double expand ? Wtf seriously. I mean, Terrans can do all-in, but still be able to expand or having a follow-up, but what can Protoss do after an all-in that allows them to still be in the game ?

Yeh, seems so. Not even the forge on a group for quick upgrading. And just 3 places for units? That makes controlling like 2 different observers on the map so much harder :/

Squirtle gambled and went for a Nexus off 1 Gate. He expected Curious to be a bit greedy and get 3 Hatches up straight away, but Curious got fast Speedlings which meant he could deny Squirtle's expand for a while taking 3 Hatches.

Most of these pros have a lot of experience in BW, seeing you had to have a lot of control groups, i don't really see the problems of keeping doing that. But maybe there's something i miss somewhere, seeing i never got any further than single player in bw ):

Good, Squirtle not content being a pushover 2 games in a row.

I'm a bit shocked that Curious didn't prepare a bit better for such a common build on Ohana u_u
