Good point, it would definitely have crushed any kind of gateway allin.

I keep seeing tanks in TvP and they keep almost being good and then getting crushed.

I think both played very well but beasty's 2base all-in was kind of awkward because of the 3rax1starport was so late but it looked quite good when he tried to attack but the immortal just melt that quite easily. And after that beasty had a hard time catching up to babyK's economy and armé. BabyK showed off some very good play there for sure.

From what I could see in the Byun vs Genius game where the tanks were used, the updgrades don't matter toooo much, obviously they're good, but being sieged up is more important than anything. Byun was trading really well with 2-0 tanks vs 3-3 toss ball, but made 1 positional error and died, the same thing happened here.

BabyKnight didn't engage well but Beasty's position was even worse. Most of his bio was attacking the 3rd so BabyKnight got all those tanks pretty much for free.

No matter what people feel about siege tanks, beasty fucked up majorly by allowing the protoss to just walk up to the tanks, no matter how terrible of a engagement he gets

Come on beasty! TSL needs its first non-Korean terran qualificant! (Thorzain and Kas excluding)

He didn't have a stim at the time of the engagement, I think the build relies on your opponent scouting it and freaking out while you continue to power up, beasty only lost because of his mistimed stim, but he did freak out BabyK, who didn't really play well.

Aside from the cliff, BK's engage wasn't actually bad at all. He hit the army from behind, engaged with storm and lots against the bio and immortals against the tanks. That's exactly as you would set it up as the protoss. Beasty wasn't prepared for BK to go fight immediately, and also wasn't prepared for his angle of attack.

Didn't Ret qualify as well?

cross position this map will def be a long macro game! I'm at least hoping for it with some good harassing and good follow-ups.

Also, if you mostly clean up your opponent's stuff the reinforcement Chargelots tend to crush face.

Oh yeah, that is true. Sorry.

The more I watch and play the game, I feel like Terran is either a 1 base cheese or a fast 3 bases macro play. Everything in between feel very weak, beside the standart 1 rax FE into 3rax medivacs in TvP I guess.

YES i love 2gate stalker vs terran
not so good when you forget your proxy pylon though lol

It wouldn't be a Babyk series without a 1 base gateway allin haha. Nice hold by BeastyQT, that SCV scout was KEY

It looks like Baby is all in.
