I hope grubby wins this tour . even it's unlikely i think he practices very much and is one of the foreigners with a great attitute towards the game ! yeah i cant ever imagine grubby raging or getting mad about balance etc, he is always so collected, straight after a loss hes the kinda guy that will think, i lost because of x y and z, when many other players would be thinking "fuck X race"

Stephano should be favourite here. Ryung's TvZ is kinda weak.

If he decides to play like the Losira who came second behind the God of Zerg himself, he could easily fight his way through.
If he decides to play like the Losira struggling to claw his way out of Code B...
Tangent - he's somewhat similar to Bomber in his wild inconsistencies.

Liquipedia is telling me that Grubby 2-0'd Oz...I don't have a pass for this weekend, has this been confirmed? I didn't see any posts in threads about it after searching.

It is, especially ironic after Oz being on record as saying that PvP is "all skill".

Stephano skipping a spine crawler in favor of a second queen. Throws down first spine on 40 supply. Stephano grabbing his second gas at his natural as well as 2 evo chambers. Ryungs 3rd is going up right at the third, not building it inside. 1-1 started for stephano. stim started for ryung

It will be really interesting to see how it pans out.

I'm not sure if that series contradicted that statement at all lol.

There is no live audience, so there are no caster near the players and therefore no need to wear headphones I would guess.

Thanks for the quick responses guys, huzzah! Huge Grubby fan here, I did a double take when I saw the result, it was too good to be true!

Game 1 they both went for blink builds, but oz expanded, grubby got a warp prism.
While oz won the engagment at his natural, 4 zealots killed 27 probes in his main.
Game 2 oz did a 1gate expand into 4gate, eventually went into a macro game, oz attacked with his collosus ball, and grubby had BEAUTIFUL positioning and upgrades and micro and completely CRUSHED oz's army, he then countered and won easily, dancing his collosus : )

He is definitely not inconsistent. He was the second best zerg in the world at a time and then fell off, he never wavered between the two.

Yeah, it was the first match together with MMA vs MC.
Didnt see game one but game two was 3 base collo wars where Grubby won while having less collosi but better positionin/upgrades (and tbh pretty shit micro and/or decisionmaking by Oz, half of his army was shooting buildings/probes in that engagement).

Stephanos 3rd goes down as ryungs 3rd finishes. It looks like ryung is going into standard marine tank, except his tanks are delayed a little. Stephano pushes back hellion contain with mass ling.
Ryung getting marine ups and blue flame.
Stephano being aggro with just mass ling bling.

Unfortunate for Mook. How do you practice for Losira when no one else plays like him.
