Just the business aspect of it. Seems like Kespa is taking a huge risk. Wouldn't it be smarter to bring the GSL players and get high level games to bring over the audience? The BW guys would catch up faster too.
the problem is sc2 isnt exactly popular in korea so theyr trying to lure audience with the well known stars of bw.
BW has survived on the players, not the games. I think it was either Plexa or Rekrul that wrote a blog on this about how broodwar was marketed like a boy band, rather than for quality of games.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by that? I don't really get it. So they advertise about the player's personalities and looks rather than the games?

The more popular/better looking players are marketed like celebrities there, doing photoshoots, having tons of female fans, stuff like that. They build on that to make the scene more popular, a huge amount of Korean BW fans are moreso fans of the players, not the game, especially the large amount of female fans
