P is able to dramatically outproduce a CC first T with chrono, and uses it to punish the T. If the T mismicros, the game is over. The objective is to deal as much damage to the T as possible. With this build, T can't just draw 4 SCVs, he has to draw as many as necessary to force damage. If T doesn't walk away without the Nexus dead, the game is over. The objective is to knock out the Nexus. Note for the P build and T build, it's a response not a precommit. It only works IF it's a 2 player map OR you were able to scout your opponent at the first spot with a sufficiently early scout. Then you have enough time to forgo your original expansion build, and do this variation (probes/SCVs) instead. They are both builds directly designed to deal with specific weaknesses, while using strengths. Or is that too abstract for you to comprehend. | ||
