Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks! |

Hoping Puma and CrazyMoving make into pools. Puma plays dde and then the winner of Golden/Ostojiy so he should, and CrazyMoving plays Illusion and then either Select or Axslav so I like his odds as well.
Also, awesome by Sheth. Didn't think he would take it after Polt beat Stephano yesterday. H I hope it is JYP then since Idra hasn't been as good recently, and i barely seen much of JYP.

They are ofcause not on same side of loser bracket so they will first meet if they both make top 4 in the tournament.

Sheth vs winner of wbc/Kawaii for pool play. Looking really good for Sheth to get into pools

WBC is awesome man. Will be a good series if he gets by Kawaii.

so Stephano and Polt are likely to face each other again and Stephano will need to 3-1 Polt at worse to stay in the tournament?
I think Stephano will be experiencing an earlier than expected exit out of MLG.

Yeah let's compare Polt to MMA who is one of the fastest players in the world and then conclude that Polt is slow...
Because that is how fast/good you need to be to consistently beat Zerg in late game as Terran. The cheesy aggressive Polt suited him a lot more because he has sick micro and good strats. He's now converted to a macro player but he lacks to multitask to play it to it's full potential. He still does well because he's a good player and has that micro but when you watch his games he could be doing so much more with his units were he a faster player.
He is especially poor at scouting expo's. Way too often he lets Zerg get bases for free.

Polt is overhyped. His TvZ has never been that good.

Just look at Polt's replays from ASUS, he's slow by Korean standards.
Completely wrong. APM is not the indication of being fast. Mondragon has 240apm and is nearly as fast as top Koreans or used to be in Broodwar. His multitasking is insane and everyone who saw him play knows it. Virus 400 APM is a lot of hotkey redundancy, but no indication of speed....

Really nice play from Sheth, while Polt seems unimpressive. Will be so sad if Polt and Stephano have to eliminate each other this early. Not sure how it works for this MLG, but in most tournaments they would end up on opposite ends of the bracket. Yeah. They should, but it wasnt always the case for MLG (Alicia - ToD). But Polt and Stephano are actually in opposite sites of the bracket! Phew. That was because ToD lost an even number of rounds later. Polt lost right after Stephano, so they go on the other side of the bracket This could be right. But I think with the MLG system you are guarenteeed to play the same opponent if he loses an even number of rounds later. Thats odd as well.

Sheth is playing a lot sharper than he used to play. I think the ling infestor style fits him well, but it stands to be seen whether this win vs. Polt was a fluke. Polt wasn't on his game today.
You have to understand something - Sheth's WORST match-up was ZvT. This win is huge for him as a player.

That obviously doesn't mean he is slow but maybe its related. You need to be really fast to play mech that's why Goody is so good at it
