Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament.
Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool.
Thanks!

Congratz, he won against a toss with like 45% winrate vs Z

well he beat stephano's unbeatable ZvP.

Taking a few months to train in Korea isn't going to do that much. It took him about 2 years with estro/cj to really start developing. =/

Polt wasn't close to losing either of those games, courtesy of IdrA's poor reads of his builds. I do think IdrA tilted hardcore the second game as well. Sad end, but not sadder than Stephano's - that was a fucking tragedy and this is the fallout.

What happened to stephano? Last game I saw of him was last night vs Polt.

He lost to Inori in losers round 8.

People seem to forget that being a top foreigner (not that IdrA has been one lately as his record shows) still means you're a lot worse than a top Korean...dunno why but people have been forgetting that gap as of late.

So we get Hasu vs Select now?
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Big thanks to Rain for preventing an incredible aLive vs. MKP semi's. And by big thanks, I mean...

He didnt prevent it. aLive couldnt win the group. Parting had already clinched the group at 4-1 because he defeated aLive 2-1. Rain had nothing to do with it

Idra is playing high masters-grandmaster type players when he plays at diamond level it seems. I know he can play better than this but so far he's proving that incorrect.

he seemed to just give up against polt, no cancel on hatch no transfuses when he could have etc, probably needs to do an EG ad or something and can't be late

he means the good ones

But Inori beat Stephano. Therefore IdrA > Inori > Stephano => IdrA > Stephano. It's pure mathematics, man.

IDRA BEST AMERICAN ZERG!!

Acting like an ass doesnt refute the fact he beat a good player. People trash the guy and say "it's ok because he sucks now" and the when people say he did well against some good players they go ballistic because it's just as true as his slump is.

Player bashing getting pretty ridiculous here. Just saying..

theres a difference between bashing and telling it how it is. idra has been playing poorly as of late, that is a fact.

if someone had a purely irrational reason to knock him, i'd agree with you.

There are tactful ways to say it

haven't really seen what youre talking about, then. if there was any legitimately terrible words spoken of any player, mods usually catch it and throw the person a warning or a ban.

well, going on recent results who would have thought Idra would be the last American left? I surely didnt :p. He is simply not playing well. Losing that many drones to 2 hellions is pretty damn bad.

'I am day9' I get it. Saying your own name all the time carries over from American tv shows right? Since we don't do that over here.

I don't ever get the impression when Idra plays that he's doing anymore than executing build orders and hoping his opponant doesn't do anything tricky.

This. I feel as zergs, you really got to be flexible and be able to adjust yourself to your opponents game play. Idra doesn't do that. He basically does a build and wants HIS opponent to play how he play, which is not what zerg is.I don't know, I really feel idra screwed up being zerg in sc2. In broodwar, he had this style of turtling in his base till 200/200 and pushing out. Which is like how the current protoss is, he should switch to protoss.
