Ace was consistently supply blocked and low on Gateway cooldowns. He lost a lot of pylons and gateways to the Muta/Bane attacks and did not keep up with replacing them. When his Gateways were up he warped in Stalker/Sentry.

This lingbling muta style was invented by morrow about half a year ago, and it has been the new pro trend in korea for a bit less than a month now. Dimaga, MC and morrow were talking about it briefly during IEM.

Tbh I'm disappointed Leenock didn't go for Cybernetics Core when he pushed some of his forces into Ace's main. More zergs should kill that building first, to get rid of Stalker production. Would've saved him many units, with limited ranged units from P.

At least those are my 2 cents. I'm thinking this too. Then again, a pro gamer should be able to keep calm under any stressful situation.

Goddamnit. It starts to bother me how much I care about the Startale players... Just got back to work and sees Ace down 0-3 ... At least we got Squirtle through yesterday

They would ve raped that comp easily. 10archons cost 20*150 = 3000gas (+1000min) and 20 warp-ins, he never had 3000gas and couldn't spare the warp-in. His defense was razor-thin. If he used his gateways on templars he would lose at least one base and many probes and stalkers before being able to use them at which point leenock could just back off a bit. In addition leenock was all over. Many templars and archons would be sniped way before they finished merging (or building energy for storm).

Ace simply did not have the multitasking and macro to compete with Leenock in that match. Ace was frequently supply blocked and floating 1000/1000. Ace couldn't keep up with replacing Gateways, Pylons and warping in new units while microing his units. I must admit that Leenock kept the pressure on with Muta banes and there was tons of micro and decisions to do. I find it incredibly difficult and I find it incomprehensible that humans are capable of actually doing everything required to defend that. Yet, Code S players somehow find a way to keep up with all of those things. Ace is not on par with some others. The somewhat bad start Ace took put Leenock into a strong position for this constant harassment. Even being a code S class player wouldn't save a player when he happens to be in such a situation. I don't think it is Ace being outmicroed, I really found his micro pretty decent actually. It's more about some questionable decisions for his opening and then the fact that he didn't make HTs/archons.

If Sniper loses this, he's out, I believe. He'll end up 1-2 with the possibility of 2-2, but he will have lost to InCa and GanZi (who have yet to versus, so one of them ends up with 2 wins), so he won't advance at all.
If Sniper loses, Leenock is guaranteed through...

What's that thing GanZi's fondling? Something he'll be using in his victory celebration?

Thanks for confirmation on the Leenock-in-Code-S-already matter. Seems like I have to look at least one more game to be sure my favorite cuddle-Zerg secured his spot before I have to do some work.

wasn't a maka rax a 2nd offrax?
|
Moletrap, that's not a makarax. That's actually the correct position to put your rax so they cant put your overlord in that derp ledge when you want to 1rax FE, and see gas timings.

And Leenock being in the situation he was in, he had the choice to just constantly trade a few mutas for these HTs. But well yes, he could still have build some archons.

Tech lab added on the Barracks for GanZi. Rax lifts off and once again switches back with the Factory. Sniper goes for Lair while taking the 3 remaining geysers. Evolution Chamber added on.
Siege tech and Engineering Bay coming in for GanZi. 1/1 is started. Baneling Nest placed down for Sniper.
Two more barracks added on for GanZi as he takes his third. Spire and +1 armor for Sniper started.
Starport and 2 more geysers taken for GanZi as he places down a Bunker at his third. Sniper finally taking his own third.
Armory gone up for GanZi, stim pak and combat shields started. 7 mutas in production for Sniper as the third finishes up. Creep covers half the map!

I just dont think that strat actually works well vs muta aggression on the maps he got. Well I was talking about the micro. His strat was not the best but again I would say he's a decent code A player imo, and his multitask not bad at all.
