Elfi was the better player today, deal with it. I was just talking about pvp, and elfi was not the better player today. MC's 1st in group and elfi's 2nd. Don't be so sensitive. If you were talking about PvP then don't include their results vs Nerchio in this discussion. I said that Elfi was the better player between him and MC today, in this matchup. This makes no sense to me. Well, the caster said Elfi is the best PvP player in the world and most on here think he's better than MC in PvP. But, out of the 3 players that played PvP against each other, Elfi has the worst win/loss ratio. Its their job to hype up things that probably shouldn't be hyped up. A few bo3 doesn't really prove anything in the world of PvP. Is that really their job? I like what the casters on the IMBTV stream said, that they have no qualms calling a game over when it is over, and don't feel the need to pander to viewers who are probably smarter than that anyways. I'm not saying bitterdam did that specifically, but it's something that happens far too often from all the casters, although tasteosis seem much more comfortable in saying that a game is over or a play is bad. Is there really not enough content in a sc2 match that you have to make up excitement that isn't there? I think the game is exciting enough that simple analysis would hold viewers. That of course requires casters to actually be good at analysis, the number of which are capable I can count on one hand. Oh please, Elfi obviously has the best PvP in the world. He's able to openly do shit that makes zero sense and win with it. How is this anything less than awe inspiring?
Your complete ignorance of the korean scene is shameful as a caster.

Wait, it says elfi won vs White-Ra, Grubby, Hasu, and MC, and only lost to Nerchio yet he's 3-2. Whats up with that?

Look how he is able to win against MC and lost to Hasuobs!! It's amazing!! And he's 69% PvP in international TLPD whereas player like Oz only has 78% in Korea! It doesn't matter because we all know that foreigner scene is so much stronger than Korea! Elfi OBVIOUSLY has the best PvP in the world! Don't think your sarcasm is required. Elfi has one of the best PVP's in the world. I would see him beating most of the Korean protoss fairly regularly. Everyone loses series in mirror matchups(except Nestea ) so yah... but beating MC is pretty good. Huk has always had good pvp when he is playing well, Oz is the best pvp in korea right now I think, and Naniwa has shown some good results in it(although I havnt seen many games to judge him well). But yah. Elfi can compete with the best and has done so.
I like how people say this on the back of him being MC 2-1, losing to Genius 1-2, losing to Hero 1-2 and never playing any other Korean Protoss.
Apparently for some people that is enough to make you the best in the world.

Feel like, you are like all other guys who think Elfi is a fucking lucky guys in PvP and he tosses the coin on the right side 80% of time. PvP of Elfi still not the best of the world but he should be able to have a decent fight with all Top Korean Protoss. In Foreigner scene I can't tell who can beat him at ease.

When will people stop caring about APM. It means nothing. Protoss obviously requires less mechanics than other races. And pvp is more about unit control and strategies. Also there is a reason why idra isnt the best foreigner even tho he might have best mechanics.

IEM, leaving the health/status/mana bars on....fucking love it. THANK YOU!

You won't find any slow and successful players in Korea for a reason. 2. Protoss doesn't obviously require less mechanics, there are slow terran and zerg foreigners that are as successful as elfi. 3. Noone said that speed or mechanics were everything.

Actually, there are slow and successful players in Korea, but their criteria for "slow" is pretty ridiculous. Savior was known as a low-apm player at 250. Whereas in western terms, "slow" would be along the lines of sub-80. I think elfi was hovering around 80.
As for the second point, any race can play at low apm, it just depends what style you use. Terrans can go deathball mech, protoss can go deathball, zergs can go autopilot 1a. All these required at most 80 apm. Similarly, each race has their styles that get more reward from extra apm. Bio drop style (mma) relies on you multitasking better than your opponent. Also warp prism drops/storm drops, muta harass, etc.

You know, for the Mothership being such a bad unit, I've seen quite a lot of it over the past week or two.

Does everyone think he is serious? I'm pretty sure that was not a serious statement, he was just mocking the uproar in this thread.

He doesn't have a 80% PvP winrate, it's 69% if you wanna check. I personally agree that he should be able to "have a decent fight with all Top Kr Protoss", but u know what, I could also say the same for Mana, Naniwa, Huk, Sase..and nearly all Kr protoss in either Code S or Code A could have a decent fight in PvP against any one else. It proves nothing but PvP is the most random matchup at the moment.
