If you were talking about PvP then don't include their results vs Nerchio in this discussion.
I said that Elfi was the better player between him and MC today, in this matchup. It wasn't luck that won him those games, it was his superior micro during ~110/110 supply fights. Out of 3 players: MC won 3, lost 2 HasuObs won 2, lost 2 Elfi won 2, lost 3 nuff said. This makes no sense to me. Well, the caster said Elfi is the best PvP player in the world and most on here think he's better than MC in PvP. But, out of the 3 players that played PvP against each other, Elfi has the worst win/loss ratio. Its their job to hype up things that probably shouldn't be hyped up. A few bo3 doesn't really prove anything in the world of PvP. Is that really their job? I like what the casters on the IMBTV stream said, that they have no qualms calling a game over when it is over, and don't feel the need to pander to viewers who are probably smarter than that anyways. I'm not saying bitterdam did that specifically, but it's something that happens far too often from all the casters, although tasteosis seem much more comfortable in saying that a game is over or a play is bad. Is there really not enough content in a sc2 match that you have to make up excitement that isn't there? I think the game is exciting enough that simple analysis would hold viewers. That of course requires casters to actually be good at analysis, the number of which are capable I can count on one hand. Oh please, Elfi obviously has the best PvP in the world. He's able to openly do shit that makes zero sense and win with it. How is this anything less than awe inspiring? ...are you unaware of the Korean scene or do you just choose to ignore it? Your constant foreigner bias is infuriating. He's specifically stated that he pays little attention to the Korean scene Does everyone think he is serious? I'm pretty sure that was not a serious statement, he was just mocking the uproar in this thread.
He's said it long before this tournament, and it's been obvious for a while. It's not just him either, remember when nobody knew who Leenock was at MLG even though he was already in the semifinals of GSL Code S? Foreigner bias is a joke.

Why would it not be a serious statement...Bitter is pretty foreigner biased and as far as I have heard does not pay much attention to Korea at all. Elfi played well in general and was able to capitalize on MC's mistakes throughout the series but calling him best PvP in the world is a big overexaggeration. MC crushed him game 2, it wasn't even close, whereas the two games elfi won were close. Game one was potentially won simply because of a bad blink for MC to position, game three MC threw away 5 stalkers and overproduced probes slightly versus an all-in. He's good PvP but there's no reason to think he'd be favored at all in a longer series.

Thank you for being the only guy to pick up on what I thought was a pretty obvious troll.
Elfi played great. No one that knows Starcraft really believes he's the best in the world at anything.
(But I still love you, Elfi)

Well, best in the world at anything is kinda harsh. I reckon he's one of the, if not the best maru fan.
On a more serious note, I'm so happy for elfi, I just wish he would get better at other match-ups, especially pvz.

haha can't believe they stuck nerchio in a group stacked with toss >_<

I thought it was a pretty clear troll. Even if you DID think Elfi was undeniably the best PvPer in the world posting it in this thread would have just been silly.
My favorite thing about Elfi is how fucking happy he looks after every win. Even when he loses a Bo3 1-2 he's smiling and giddy and it's the best thing ever. Hope he does well, even if it's by the "randomness of PvP."
