I wouldn't mind seeing Ra vs MC.

An interesting first day... a bit of bad luck for Nerchio and Socke, but that's how it goes.
Predictions for Day 2...
Group C: Puma, Mana, Zenio (still... very even and unpredictable group)
Group D: Kas, Supernova... and a Protoss, most likely Real, but I'll be rooting for Feast.

It's just sad. So good to see MC made through today. Because SC2 should be a game where favorites win 100% of their games vs less skilled players, right? Elfi was the better player today, deal with it. I was just talking about pvp, and elfi was not the better player today. MC's 1st in group and elfi's 2nd. Don't be so sensitive. If you were talking about PvP then don't include their results vs Nerchio in this discussion. I said that Elfi was the better player between him and MC today, in this matchup. It wasn't luck that won him those games, it was his superior micro during ~110/110 supply fights. Out of 3 players: MC won 3, lost 2 HasuObs won 2, lost 2 Elfi won 2, lost 3 nuff said. This makes no sense to me. Well, the caster said Elfi is the best PvP player in the world and most on here think he's better than MC in PvP. But, out of the 3 players that played PvP against each other, Elfi has the worst win/loss ratio. Its their job to hype up things that probably shouldn't be hyped up. A few bo3 doesn't really prove anything in the world of PvP. Is that really their job? I like what the casters on the IMBTV stream said, that they have no qualms calling a game over when it is over, and don't feel the need to pander to viewers who are probably smarter than that anyways. I'm not saying bitterdam did that specifically, but it's something that happens far too often from all the casters, although tasteosis seem much more comfortable in saying that a game is over or a play is bad. Is there really not enough content in a sc2 match that you have to make up excitement that isn't there? I think the game is exciting enough that simple analysis would hold viewers. That of course requires casters to actually be good at analysis, the number of which are capable I can count on one hand. Oh please, Elfi obviously has the best PvP outside of Korea. He's able to openly do shit that makes zero sense and win with it. How is this anything less than awe inspiring?
FTFY. We haven't seen enough of players like Oz (no, 1 series against Huk doesn't count), Parting, Genius etc to say that elfi has the best PvP in the world.

I think it's safe to say this is yet another tourney with full korean quarter/semi/finals lineup...

Looks like they talked to Blizzard and made sure the maintenace is done quickly ;-). Looks like the tournament will start as planned. Not accounting for other sources of possible delay.

Why has HasuObs advanced from the group B and Nerchio hasn't ? They have exactly the same number of series and maps won and lost. Can anyone explain ?

Elfi OBVIOUSLY has the best PvP in the world!! Look how he is able to win against MC and lost to Hasuobs!! It's amazing!! And he's 69% PvP in international TLPD whereas player like Oz only has 78% in Korea! It doesn't matter because we all know that foreigner scene is so much stronger than Korea! Elfi OBVIOUSLY has the best PvP in the world!

@Wolfik: Nerchio lost their head-to-head match, as in the match when they fought each other. When the number of wins and losses are equal, as are the numbers of sets won and lost, then the head-to-head result is taken into account.

Elfi has one of the best PVP's in the world. I would see him beating most of the Korean protoss fairly regularly. Everyone loses series in mirror matchups(except Nestea ) so yah... but beating MC is pretty good. Huk has always had good pvp when he is playing well, Oz is the best pvp in korea right now I think, and Naniwa has shown some good results in it(although I havnt seen many games to judge him well). But yah. Elfi can compete with the best and has done so.

jeees, worst setup ever for the iem sc2 stage.
to the left there was a exhibiting company who had an dj on stage blasting sound through the hall so you could not understand a word apollo/bitter/rotti were saying
was pretty bad for the players too, they were straight behind the casters and you could access them pretty nice.

THANK YOU.
And THANK YOU EIM for releasing replays immediately!!!! i love this!!!
