This makes no sense to me. Well, the caster said Elfi is the best PvP player in the world and most on here think he's better than MC in PvP. But, out of the 3 players that played PvP against each other, Elfi has the worst win/loss ratio.
Its their job to hype up things that probably shouldn't be hyped up.
A few bo3 doesn't really prove anything in the world of PvP.

Just look at your sig "oh that guy won the GSL multiple times, I'm gonna fanboy the shit outta him" Well basically as a UK citizen we had only one UK player when I started watching and he plays Terran and was injured for a long time. It will be a cold day in hell before I cheer for Americans, Germans, Frenchmen or other countries who are England's traditional rivals in all sports. So I will cheer for the guys who play the best Starcraft and are from a country which my country has basically zero reason to every dislike or want to lose. It's so easy to cheer for the best. I bet you're a fan of Manure Utd too. Well I live in Manchester, so that doesn't count. Well all of the mancs I know have always supported City. So I guess it does count.
Anyone who actually lives in Manchester knows this is bollocks because A) City fans live in Stockport and B) It's just plain bollocks. City have a good following in Manchester but there's still easily more United fans even though the number of City fans has increased since they got good.
It's pure tabloid shite that people in Manchester support City.

Is that really their job? I like what the casters on the IMBTV stream said, that they have no qualms calling a game over when it is over, and don't feel the need to pander to viewers who are probably smarter than that anyways.
I'm not saying bitterdam did that specifically, but it's something that happens far too often from all the casters, although tasteosis seem much more comfortable in saying that a game is over or a play is bad.
Is there really not enough content in a sc2 match that you have to make up excitement that isn't there? I think the game is exciting enough that simple analysis would hold viewers. That of course requires casters to actually be good at analysis, the number of which are capable I can count on one hand.

I was refering to hyping up players and Artosis is the king of hyping up players and i see nothing wrong with that.

One more thing, do you think MC thinks now that "PvP is such bullshit, wah wah wah"? A pro like that should know that there's no such a thing in a game of SC2 as deserving to win. If you lost you didn't deserve to win and it wouldn't matter anyway. Quite possibly he has just learnt something from these games, and that's all. So why should any of you be so butthurt about it?

Welcome to real world of casting and making tournaments and events more exciting by pandering to the viewers. People always seem to cry out how we should have Starcraft 2 in the mainstream yet don't want to sell out or "pander" towards the viewers. Look at most sporting events. It could be two mediocre teams facing each other, but you still need hype. It would also attract people who don't even play the game.

Yes, it is a nice skill toi have, but you don't use the whole group but 3 players that tied in series only. If you use the whole group then I gotta bring out the stats and history of PvP that these 3 players have played and go all out general. By then, Elfi would look like a peanut.
