He's not exactly proven in results against top players in tournaments, but top players have already acknowledged his strength.
How many top zergs are there in Korea anyway? Nestea, DRG, Leenock. Maybe Lucky and Curious as well, and Stephano has already crushed Lucky, who said he's a great player as well. It's not difficult to consider him one of the best when there are so few zergs at the very top. Well, technically he is one of the best zergs in the world, since Korea is only one country He still is one of the best zergs in the world though, I wouldn't call him top 5, but he showed in the Blizz cup that he hold his own with the top koreans, and during his ladder sessions over there where he did extremely well crushing lots of top protosses. I'm not a fanboy, I hate the zerg race as a whole, but he's definitely really good. Who is top 5 in your opinion then? DRG, Leenock, Nestea, Lucky, Losira, Monster, Coca, Zenio, Violet, Dimaga imo these guys are all capable of playing on a higher or similar level of Stephano. Stephano has steady and good performances and his ZvP and ZvZ is definitely top class, but because of his ZvT it would be hard for me to call him a safe Top 5. DRG, Leenock certainly, but after that it gets confusing. Nestea has dropped allot, Lucky has lost to Stephano before (4-0!), Losira has fallen sooooo far, Monster is good but hasn't really shown the skill of the above, Coca hasn't played a competitive game in months, Zenio is good but like monster, Violet has better vT by alot, but slightly worse vZ and worse vP, and Dimaga is just worse. With that reasoning Polt is 100% better than MMA because he won 4-0 against him. Also that was some months ago too. Also Dimaga won multiple times against Stephano and has a lot of tournament wins too. Coca was banned so of course he wasn't able to play any competitive games, doesn't change the fact that he is a good player. I wouldn't say Losira, Monster, Violet or Zenio are clear Top 5 zergs either, there just AREN'T clear Top 5 zergs because atm you can only say that DRG is the best zerg and Leenock is definitely Top 5. I see Stephano as a good Code S zerg similar to HuK who was Code S for a good amount of time, but I don't see how you can definitely say that he is better than Dimaga, Violet, Lucky, Monster or Nestea.
Zenio has to be highly considered for Top 5; he's a perennial Code S Zerg even if he's never been able to rise far. I'm confident he'll make it back up; he always looks monstrous against the 'rank and file' Code A players.

Stephano said that he was never able to beat Polt when they played. Moreover, Polt's tank-less style counters his - the answer to mass zerglings is mass hellions and marines.

Stephano misread Elfi taking 4 gases as teching. Elfi, however, was preparing a very strong immortal+gateway timing push.

-_-
I stand corrected.
Guess we'll see if Stephano can adapt to Polt then, because I really don't see Lucky being more than a speed bump right now.

I just googled ASUS, then used the links to look at the specific product that caught my eye - that Rampage IV Extreme motherboard.
After looking at it... I'm geeky. But not that geeky. (Solder to video cards, plug into motherboard?) Absolutely a beast of a product - I'd have to study to think about spending that much on it though.
Still crazy products.

He was able to get into Stephano's 3rd unopposed on Antiga because Stephano had over-droned and use forcefields on the bottlenecks and then did the same at the natural and won. It was good play for sure.

Considering how everyone forgets about Polt's accomplishment, I say they're dark horses. But you're right, just that Polt usually goes unnoticed for his win.
And Lucky is a strange one.

Well....
People considered Polt overrated and thought his Super tournament win was a fluke all the way up to when he started getting more exposure through his stream.

Well I usually find it ok, as long as there is race variety. When this turns out to be a TvT Final or ZvZ (which is very unlikely) I am out.

They play a lot in European cups ( Millenium cup thing they meet a few time ) But Polt usualy is very tired in these games and play 2 base timing style a lot. ( it's like 7am en korea each time )

MSI Pro Cup #5 (2-1, Polt), one of them at least and going to be another one soon in #7.
Also probably played on ladder quite a few times. Stephano was exaggerating, he has beaten Polt before, but he probably has a bad overall record.
