He looked... uninspired this season. I think a lot of people in the community have failed to notice the huge spike in overall player quality that happened in GSL this year. The new format means that things are shaking out PDQ, and Polt looked pretty lost when he fought this time. He MIGHT still be Code S material, but right now he proved that he's not.

You can't make your army more mobile even if you are super gosu multi-tasking do you honestly think that spines can stop what polt's drop did? He sent more than just a drop ship of marines. Only spines ? No. Spines and infestors ? Definitely. Lucky stayed whole game long on three bases while teching to infestor/broodlords against 4 base Terran, built zero static defenses against drops who literally killed him and was using 1 group a-move syndrom for most of the game. If you are playing like this, of course there is little you can do against multi drops and your army immobility will play a major role in your way of fail.

When Santos played Barcelona in the World championship everyone around me was cheering for Barça, because who cares about nationality when a team plays football like art. Brazil lost the 2010 world cup and nobody missed a beat and watched Spain crush their way to the championship, because fans of the sport is, well exactly that... fans of the sport, not nationality. I love Korean players and have a disdain for 90% of the foreign ones, not because they are foreign, but they have proved themselves not in par with Korean counterparts. If roles were reversed I would change bandwagon the very next day. Proof? I'd much rather watch CLG than any Korean LOL team, because they have so far proven much more skilled, period. Of course you'd rather see home team win, but feeling nothing when excellence is laid bare in front of you, that means you are NOT fan of the sport. Sorry for the hard truth bro. You are not onloy a fan of a sports when you hardcore watch every game. The world cup sample might been a bit miss. Because these events are so rare that in fact you end up watching every match from a certain point on (might not take off work to watch the group stage). But as stated in another quote before. SC2 events and Streams are there every day. I don't go out to watch every game, training session and press convergence of the best 5 teams in my national ladder. My home team is 2nd laddar (and not good atm^^). That means I'm no fan of Football ya? When we talk watching SC2 with the aim to improve own play, I still disagree I need to watch every game. I can read up the afterwards article on TL or 4x through the replay to see the strategic factor of that match. That doesn't change nothing about the fact my Multi-Tasking and handling of Drop/Muta is terrible ;o)

Lucky was stuck on 3 bases whole game long and prolly did not have the resources to throw down defenses, not to mention the fact that he was dealing with Polt's constant aggression throughout the midgame. spines wouldn't have cut it on antiga, if you are in the middle, the terran can attack every base and since it will be always more then 8 marines you need around 8 spines ? leaving infestors is a good idea, but they will not kill the marines and die most likely. But if you play low tech vs high tech, yes it is supposed that you outplay your opponent with it. The opponent would win a direct engagement, but you can lose units even if they do little damage, but the pressure lets the opponent make mistakes.
