Is it still any fun to watch for foreigners?
I know what you mean. I often stop to watch Tournaments when every European (and idra^^) are out. Final is Korean vs Korean? I don't care... It's like watching Brazil vs Portugal Football teams in the world chamionships. Great play but no emotion towards any team on my side. You're right man, seeing MMA cry after he beat MVP in the GSL finals was so fucking emotionally dry, I felt nothing for either player, the gameplay was OK I guess... He's not talking about the players... I know that, but how can you not feel anything for players who invest that much into the game. They just have a completely different level of immersion in the pro SC scene compared to foreigners. Like do you never watch BW at all? Then I can kind of understand where you're coming from. I dont think discussing with them changes their mind. You see, those guys are like the women with football. Only time when their intrested in football is, when theres a World Cup going on. And as soon as the "home team" is out, so is their interest for the sport. Excuse me? Every football fan ever will prefer to cheer for their "home team" before the "skilled team", and all of them are perfectly capable of watching a game where they have no emotional connection to any of the teams (and they do). That doesn't make it any less dull. The problem is that in a Ro4 with only Koreans, there is often really no difference (to us) between the players. It's this guy vs that guy, and there's no basis on which to form our opinion.
That couldn't be farther than truth man, seriously...
When Santos played Barcelona in the World championship everyone around me was cheering for Barça, because who cares about nationality when a team plays football like art. Brazil lost the 2010 world cup and nobody missed a beat and watched Spain crush their way to the championship, because fans of the sport is, well exactly that... fans of the sport, not nationality.
I love Korean players and have a disdain for 90% of the foreign ones, not because they are foreign, but they have proved themselves not in par with Korean counterparts. If roles were reversed I would change bandwagon the very next day. Proof? I'd much rather watch CLG than any Korean LOL team, because they have so far proven much more skilled, period.
Of course you'd rather see home team win, but feeling nothing when excellence is laid bare in front of you, that means you are NOT fan of the sport. Sorry for the hard truth bro.

Why are people even talking about Ghosts not being built? There was no economy for that.
And why would Day9 make a daily about that? Don't you know that he only does Ret/Zenio or HerO dailies?

Pimpest play. It was entertaining not because of bad plays but because of Polt playing perfectly from start to finish. The insane hold in the beginning and then the mid game and the late game. Polt gave me some hope about Star2 being an esport.

You obviously haven't followed the GSL then.
Now, I wonder how Lucky's mental state is. Losing like that can crush mental strength. Or will he pull himself together and fight his way back?

I like Apollo. You can tell he is genuinely obsessed with this game.

Lucky had no choice but staying on 3 bases, because he had not the army to defend with lings&infestors. Just stop calling lucky bad Oo

Mhm, best zergs masses spinecrawlers around their bases and leaves like one-two infestors to shut down drops even harder. Polt simply outplayed Lucky, it had very little to do with Broodlord/Infestor immobility. And If you are saying that terran must out-multitask (in other words outplay) zerg late game in order to win, thats kinda fucked up lol.

Look at the new patch...ghost nerfed to the ground...and Polt play was really great without ghost. I never thought about using the mobility of slow zerg units to go for the kill.
For me it is the first strat that makes sense...

How about:
Everyone: "Why yes, the Broodlord, Infestor composition has its weaknesses. Maybe the Ghost nerf was appropriate and there's yet enough we can do?"
j/k
Blizzard never does anything right, right?
Edit: That said, none should draw too much of a conclusion from a single game - so let's relax.

Ahh, I get how to beat bl/infestor now, all I have to do is play close to perfectly and hope my opponent doesn't leave 1 infestor at each base and wastes all his energy on infested terrans killing a pf.
Genius!

What I loved most about that game was that he moved the main CC to another mineral field, and it made all the infestors spend their energy to stop that.

Terran is hard to play, that's why there aren't many top non-korean terrans.
