Every football fan ever will prefer to cheer for their "home team" before the "skilled team", and all of them are perfectly capable of watching a game where they have no emotional connection to any of the teams (and they do). That doesn't make it any less dull. The problem is that in a Ro4 with only Koreans, there is often really no difference (to us) between the players. It's this guy vs that guy, and there's no basis on which to form our opinion. Every football fan I've ever known cares about the skilled teams and spend hours talking about the merits of individual players. They would RATHER the home team won and are devastated when that doesn't happen, but they don't just stop watching. In SC2 it's more that a section of foreign fans choose to ignore the korean scene completely, and so get discouraged when these guys they really should know about already come over and destroy players they think are far better than they actually are. The Korean scene has 90% of SC2's 'star players'. If you don't follow that scene, you're just preventing yourself from knowing much about professional SC2. (and denying yourself the pleasure of some of the greatest games imaginable. This year's first GSL season has been stellar, I think everyone agrees on that)

I mean I have my favorites too, but I can always enjoy a good game, no matter who plays. The fact is there is great SC content on every day. I don't need to see the final of any Tournement when the next day another top class player shows good stuff on his stream. The 2nd Stream gone crazy about Mana's blink micro vs Roach, earlier today. Watch 1 hour of Grubby stream and you realize what Mana did there was nothing. The same is like Brat_OK showing sick micro in weekly Tournemnts, absolutly on a level or even better to what Polt does here. (just random samples not intending to disrespect a player here!).
