I think he actually is/was afraid of flying. In War3 he was easily good enough to attend international tournaments, but didn't. I know there was something, other than invitations / skill, that prevented him from going.

Yeah White-Ra! Let's do this! You can do it!
Even during difficult times, when I sat down to play the game, there were times where it felt like god has descended down and played [for me].

Many protosses in Code S can beat him.

Genius, parting and oz.

NICE JOKE

not a joke at all.

here we go again, I've seen this before, proclaiming Stephano unbeatable.

If you think those 3 he named can't beat stephano lol at you.

Did MC get knocked down to Code A? He's stomped on Stephano countless times. MC is more than capable of beating Stephano. I'd say he's explicitly favored.

That's not to say, of course, that Stephano isn't a great player and capable of beating these Protoss players. But there's almost always a chance (at the very high levels) of one player beating another.

The comparison to DRG is almost an insult and slander on DRG's name considering how DRG, tournament after tournament, has kept going deeper and deeper and closer to winning, and now he is in the final of the GSL again.

Respect to Stephano for what he has done, but until he wins more tournaments against great Koreans, you can't even put him on the same pedestal as them.

Using DRG as an example of consistensy is fantastically ironic considering he was known for the opposite just a few months back. He even posted about it on TL, claiming he would turn around his underperforming. And so he did.

Yeah, the only truely consistent player in SC2 at the moment is MVP. While he stopped winning tournaments, at least he is still making decent runs and not bombing out in the first run.

uhm... I would agree, that he is still the best terran, but he just dropped out of code s.
using him as an example for consistency at the moment is kind of unfitting.

He droped to code a but he still did very good in GSTL after that.

My point still stands imho..
Maybe I am just wrong with my impression from his play though Not that impressed with DieStar either usually, I expect both to fail to advance

Kind of obvious their reaction time is slower than the average GSL players. (watching DieStar v Satini)

Yeah, especially when that legendary streak includes such tremendous wins over Starcraft titans like Monchi, Rotterdam and HEADHUNTER.

He still made it to Ro16 and could technically get back for the next season just by winning his 1 game in code A?

Thats already better than players like MC who totally dropped out, DRG who dropped out totally, MMA who dropped out totally and no one would argue they aren't top tier players.

I meant before. Obviously they are in code S now.

They were not top-tier players at that point in time.

well cloud should be favored considering how awful moon played vs bratok, so don't get your hopes up too high ^^

although 2:0 for cloud would be tiebreak no?

Exactly. Just because you don't make the ro8 in Code S for the first time in 4 Code S seasons doesn't mean you're inconsistent. He had 6000 more GSL points in 2011 than Nestea which means even if MVP sat out a GSL and Nestea came in 1st, MVP would still be ranked higher

yea I don't really favor one player between cloud or bratok. I'm just curious as to who would advance. 2-0 cloud = cloud advances. 2-1 cloud of 2-1 moon = bratok advances. I'm expecting cloud 2-0

but never mind. as soon as I post this someone posts it's 1-1. grats bratok
