Hes still in Code A, might be code S next season..

edit: also there are many better players in GSL than this tourney, even code A

Elfi such a symphatic guy haha. Really people here need to calm down. TvP is more than "T OP" or "P OP" its actually a match up where you can do a lot if you are good. Be it with strategy, micro or multitasking. Sad people here don't seem to realize it.
obviously nobody is blaming or hating on elfi wtf? its just sad that it requires twice the amount of skill to pull it off as a terran, pretty disheartening to watch korean terrans with their superior multitasking and micro rape everything on their path on tournaments and lose games or even sets to foreigner protosses.

.. I wish people would actually try to get to a high level of play before writing such comments. I do find TvP a very hard match up and I don't train as much. Last 3 days I did 150 games and did practice with ReaL. It is a very hard match up for BOTH sides at different stages of the game and the different strategies clashing into each other.

I guarantee you that an offensive engagement in the very late game against mass amounts of Ghosts is an equal pain in the ass AS attacking with Terran. =.= Seriously.

You're wasting your time. Even the fact that you're a progamer won't stop people from whining about the matchup.

Got plenty, sitting at works, but thanks haha :-)! I will just enjoy the games^____^!

Well since there's a pro talking in this thread I wanted to ask you a question.

Why shouldn't Terrans cry? Protoss cried non stop and finally Blizzard game them their buffs. After witnessing that, why shouldn't Terrans?

Also, the last time a foreign Terran won a major live tournament was well over a year ago. People focused exclusively on GSL-- a 32 man tournament-- and ignored the other player pool of 100s of more players where Protoss actually did quite well.

Whining hurts only yourself. Even if I find a match up very hard there's just no use to whine all the time. Last days I didn't do anything besides work and play games and I improved a ton. Just watch a game from your opponent from his view, or watch your view with his production tab. You can learn so much.

Whenever you tell yourself that you are losing because of imbalance, you won't improve. You lose because you are doing mistakes and the last days I actually realized that the match up I don't like TvP is very winnable if you just put a bit of thought into it.

I don't think the game is perfectly balanced but what makes it look imbalanced to a lot of people is that there are actually some build orders (I don't want to call them build order wins) that put you either ahead or behind and a pro usually can win from an advantage. So yes - whining only hurts you.

You've definitely gained some respect from me there. It's amazing how a guy who depends on SC2 to put bread on his table is able to stay above balance whining better than many casual players. Well spoken

Actually that's a pretty good point. You need to be good at preparing to win a GSL.

The same reason that Creator still doesn't do as well in individual leagues as he does in KSL & GSTL... and probably many others players.
This is why a lot of "hyped" players make a splash few month laters

Who topped the group plays someone (chosen at random) who was second in his group. Am I right?
If so, Stephano must be feeling *really good* because 7/8 of the second places are protosses, hahahahah.

He said he struggles at Bo1 and much prefers series play, so he's excited to try make it back to Code S again since he feels confident that the new format suits him much much better.

Certainly in a bad position (down like 5 tanks or something) but at least make Taeja leave his base.

not really, why waste time, jinro didn't even have tank production going yet and Taeja had at least 4 tanks and air dominance. When you're up against a player who is way better than you and you're behind that much, there's really no point in playing it out.

DRG and MMA did poorly in individual leagues too, getting knocked out in Code A or failing to qualify and such. If someone is legitimately good, eventually their time will come.
Well, now I tell you, I never seen good come o' goodness yet. Him as strikes first is my fancy; dead men don't bite; them's my views--amen, so be it.

First of all I actually only get angry/whine when I lose,... because thats just how it is but. I don't rely on Starcraft 2 to bring bread to the table ;-)! I'm on Type, yet I got a real job so I'm not a fulltime progamer. I'd like to be, but I don't want to give up my flat, sallary etc for the 'chance' of MAYBE winning something.
