Is it b/c he's good at improvising play and tournaments like this or something rather than preparation based play like in the GSL? Hes still in Code A, might be code S next season.. edit: also there are many better players in GSL than this tourney, even code A

Last days I didn't do anything besides work and play games and I improved a ton. Just watch a game from your opponent from his view, or watch your view with his production tab. You can learn so much. Whenever you tell yourself that you are losing because of imbalance, you won't improve. You lose because you are doing mistakes and the last days I actually realized that the match up I don't like TvP is very winnable if you just put a bit of thought into it. I don't think the game is perfectly balanced but what makes it look imbalanced to a lot of people is that there are actually some build orders (I don't want to call them build order wins) that put you either ahead or behind and a pro usually can win from an advantage. So yes - whining only hurts you. You've definitely gained some respect from me there. It's amazing how a guy who depends on SC2 to put bread on his table is able to stay above balance whining better than many casual players. Well spoken

You need to be good at preparing to win a GSL.

The same reason that Creator still doesn't do as well in individual leagues as he does in KSL & GSTL... and probably many others players. This is why a lot of "hyped" players make a splash few month laters

He said he struggles at Bo1 and much prefers series play, so he's excited to try make it back to Code S again since he feels confident that the new format suits him much much better.

When you're up against a player who is way better than you and you're behind that much, there's really no point in playing it out.

Taeja has terrible nerves in group stages. He doesn't like BO1 series.

Well spoken First of all I actually only get angry/whine when I lose,... because thats just how it is but. I don't rely on Starcraft 2 to bring bread to the table ;-)! I'm on Type, yet I got a real job so I'm not a fulltime progamer. I'd like to be, but I don't want to give up my flat, sallary etc for the 'chance' of MAYBE winning something.
