I wouldn't say he swapped tech. Jinro decided to continue with expo straight into cloak banshees. Elfi decided to go 4 gate instead of teching and so it wasn't a tech switch really. Jinro didnt have control of the center of map if he did the proxy pylon near the old gold bases wouldn't have been there and he would have seen an army move out to the center of the map and could have scanned to scout again to verify the robo was still there.
Ive lost tons of games vs Zerg when they make a spire then they cancel it and make hydras so I always scout a second time to make sure the building is still there. Am I a pro player? No. But sometimes we need to accept that buildings that aren't done yet can be cancelled and something else can be made.
We also need to realise where jinro put the starport wasn't that good. Its safe against any sort of drop play but if the starport was in the main cloak probably would have finished and the cloak banshees would have stopped that 4 gate push dead in its tracks.
It was a series of poor decisions from jinro and a very good mindgame from elfi who has clearly been watching a lot of MVP Genius lately as that is exactly what genius would do.

When he was sick (which was when he barely lost to Puzzle 3-2 as well). He beat Creator and Hero in IPL4 Qualifiers cleanly.

Elfi did scout the expansion I think, but definately not the cloak banshees. So in that sense his timing attack was very lucky, if Jinro hadn't been investing in cloak banshees he would likely have held.

He beat InCa,HerO and Creator at IPL 4 Qualfiers.
he lose to creator because he was sick these days, and bad condition imo.
Polt is still best TvP.

And what's your point..? The better players are generally winning, that's how it should be... If you think Jinro is way better than Elfi, I don't know what to tell you lol. Jinro hasn't done anything in a long time, elfi has gotten deeper in more tournaments lately than Jinro.
