The HT control of Parting won him that Jjakji has incredible bio ball control but not much you can do against 16+ storms. Yeah. Jjakji screwed up thinking he already won and let his ghosts/bio ball get utterly destroyed (@ Parting's 5th base)
I would also like to add that Parting lost his army in the furthest corner of the map away from his base. Giving Parting time to re gather and enable him to hold off a counter. People on here complain that SC2 is just 1 big battle and then one player wins. So when we get maps that allow for armies to clash and give a player a chance to macro back into the game and use storms/planetary fortresses to hold your opponent at bay.

Not if you micro them .

Even with micro, they aren't good enough against zealots to justify getting them in the late game. Every protoss tht goes for the zealot heavy style will have good upgrades, while ur helions would have no upgrades.

You do understand what happened, right?
Jjakji run out of steam, when his 4th was denied by storms/dts. In the same time he tried to force his way into a fortified position that had cannons and storms. Yes, the defender's advantage for Parting was really strong that even +40 supply the terran could not break it (although awesome HT usage from Parting saved him)
When the expo was denied, Jjakji had no army and no way to remax. What if he had expanded 2 times before attacking? What if he expanded 2 times and started dropping the really thin spread protoss?
Jjakji got over-eager. Cannot really blame him, but his attack was all-in. And he failed.

Best game of 2012 so far. I hope these 2 become a rivalry. I really enjoyed the first bo3 and this second bo3 is starting off great The best game of 2012 will be seen tomorrow I think. Really hope to see MKP vs DRG. So stoked for that The group tomorrow is absolutely insane. The fact that 2 of those will be going to Code A just completely blows my mind.. Hoping Genius and DRG are going through, i wanna see more of the dynamic duo :p if DRG wins his group he'll be on the opposite side of the bracket from MMA. I'm rooting for the rematch. ^.-
I wanna see a protoss win this GSL but i'll make due with a MMA v DRG finals, with DRG winning this time preferably :p

Doesn't matter they still die way faster then the Zealots and reinforce slower.

Even if you micro them, they are awful vs. chargelots and archons. And you won't have any upgrades on them either. Can't exactly upgrade bio and mech at the same time just for hellions, where would you get the money from.

Parting really has a good understanding of this matchup.

After he destroyed the big Toss army he should immediately have gone to deny Parting's 4th and/or secure his 4th and 5th. He didn't do either properly, allowed Parting too much leeway to build back up, and in the end he payed the price for it.
You would think after you kill 100% of your opponent's entire army after they make a huge mistake...with nearly 80% of your army leftover...you would think that you can win the game at that point...but you can't...that's TvP for you in the current state of the game.
Great play by parting...but if people still do not see there is a huge problem here...it's a bit crazy.

I don't know. Jjakji could've probably crushed through his reinforcements if he micro'd his army properly.

Come on Jjakji I want to see a Game 3 these two play such sick series.

I love how he gets 3 observers since he cant make collosus yet. They are like invisible fast moving overlords.

Yes, can you imagine had parting not made the huge mistake of getting his army trapped? He would have had the entire deathball PLUS the templars....HMMM...yet he still won after losing 100% army, TErran has his entire army leftover, but chargelot warpins + templar defense...hmm...
All you do is balance whine. Get the fuck out of the LR thread ok?

Jjakji not seeing the obs in his main, very uncharacteristic.
