Liek almost every terran that was regarded to have a "good" tvp did some kind of 1 or 2-base all-in that would destroy tosses, because tosses have period of vulnerability before they can get their 3bases up. It's why so many terrans did 1/1/1. 111 is considered more and more to be a risky build. The top Protoss are getting better and better at scouting for it, and dealing with it properly which is why it has fallen off in popularity. Watch MC's play again and you'll see that he never put down his expo without confirming that the terran was expanding. Since there is now a good chance that you'll lose with a 111 Terrans are reverting to the macro game. Timings are incredibly hard to hit because the window is based on how greedy or safe the Protoss player is being. How much tech can you grab for at once and still be safe? Once the game reaches the 4 base vs 4 base situation however Terran is in big trouble because Protoss are using all their resources, while terran are not using their gas. Only because of long maps. 1/1/1 is just as effective on xelnaga and such. I don't think a single pro tournament uses xelnaga anymore... My point was 1/1/1 was not figured out in so much as map pool was tilted to avoid it.

I'm already missing that stretch of time last year where the Protoss presence in Code S was practically zero, because at least then we got a lot of good TvZs and TvTs to watch. Hell, I'll even take ZvZ anytime over PvX.
The Parting vs Jjakji games with exemplary of neither all innish nor deathball play. Yes, a deathball battle did occur, but the game went on, neither player could kill eachother, and the game became focused on positioning and bases and all the other cool stuff without any real turtling to deathballs again.. Also, zvz is like pvp but warpgates dont exist.. I think you need to open your mind to protoss more.

he's either a troll or didn't watch last night.
Parting vs Jjakji was fucking epic. I'd take it over Jjakji vs Ganzi easily.

That's how i feel as well, Blizzard needs to get back to the drawing board with Toss, WP mechanic although cool on paper simply cannot work cause it generates this situation where Toss is vunerable early on and NEEDS FF (which is a shitty ability in terms of gameplay) and too strong late game. Blizzard, all this crap it's cause of WP, P is utter crap and you know it, unfortunately they aren't going to do anything :/

Whats to stop terran from making a quick 3rd CC, massing Rax, and massing marines. Last time I checked marines have the DPS to take out gateway armies ez. Protoss powers with 8-gate, you power with 10-rax marines. No addons at first, maybe one tech lab for stem. the toss is not teching so you don't have to either is my theory.
