I can't wait until we have a Code S full of players who don't let their opponent morph two banelings directly behind their own natural. It's actually hard to distinguish which banelings are yours when they are morphing especially with all that chaos on-going I know it's hard, but Code S players should be able to figure that out. It's not like those lings just warped in there, YuGiOh just lost track of them, and that doesn't make me happy. Meh Yugioh has played a lot better than Zenio or Inca today. To be fair, those blue units are really hard to spot on the minimap especially when on purple creep. But no excuses, i really can't wait for the day when pro players become absolute machines and spot everything.
Also, he totally won the game anyways and was already way ahead due to great play. I can't wait until we have a forum full of posters who don't focus on one mistake as an excuse for why a player is bad.
I can't wait until we have a Code S full of players who don't let their opponent build a pylon in their base.
See, I can say things based off one situation and sound like a dick too :D

And so is hiding pylons yourself. Code S is not just Mvp vs. MMA, there are 30 other guys too, and half of them don't make it past the first round. Plenty of cheese to be had there. Code S is more about consistency at a certain level. Hero is struggling with that and he's had very decent groups/opponents in code A but has just failed to remain consistent. So many other top players right now are just staying in code S and getting back into code S easily because they can be expected to play at a high level day in and day out and just be prepared.

Because a win against the top-player in your group would mean less than a win against the other second place contender (though not in this case).

Heh, the comment was more based on the fact that YuGiOh has been in code A for every season not on his actual skill. Him and Genius have both been super impressive these last 2 games and were both definitely the best players in their group on the day.

Getting beaten by two teammates with mental advantages over you in your worst matchup isn't something to be ashamed of.

MMA AND MVP died on this map from similar cheese. MMA lost to FXO_Oz by hidden 2 gate in his main MVP lost to Leenock by Nydus...in the same damn position. >_<
Just bad luck, I guess

Lol? If JYP wins he has 3 wins like July, would July deserve to advance more after losing to him? And if July wins, he has 4 wins so he advances. Makes sense to me.

I liked how the casters were talking about PvP evolving post-4Gate ... and then HerO got eliminated by one :/

If JYP wins, he has beaten 3 people as well. I'm failing to see your point rofl.

How else would you decide who's gonna advance when 2 people have the same score?

Welcome to standard group stage play in the vast majority of competitions
EDIT: Not whining about the setup. That what ALL group stages are like. You take into account games you haven't played yet, so its totally fair

I've watched just about all his games, and he was not playing code S level zerg. Then again, maybe it was unfair since literally the worst zerg in code S was july, and then you had players like Coca/Curious who were at the bottom back then.

He looks good stomping foreigners, but his winrate in Korea is below 40% and he isn't even playing top level players He plays very well on stream and he also does well outside korea... He cannot perform well in GSL though I am very biased though. Hero is amazing IMO and is definitely code S material when he plas his best
Plz don't count stream or ladder games too much. Like casters said, July always 6 pools on ladder, but he won't play like that in GSL. If you put all your effort in ladder games, you are not a sophisticated pro players yet, you need to hide your styles before tournaments.
