Welcome to the  Korean StarLeague! The KSL is sponsored by own3d.tv and can be viewed as an European event series that features the Korean Pro-Teams. From Monday to Thursday there will be a single player competition. Each of the 8 Pro-Teams will send out one player and they will play each other in a single-elimination tournament-style bracket. All of the games will be best of three. The winning player receives a $100 prize, with $50 going to the runner-up! Friday through Sunday there will be team-matches, which will use a Winner's League format, with the winning team taking home a prize of $200!

Today is a really cool lineup. I'm hoping for a Jjakji vs Oz final.
Happy is playing really well also, but I don't think he can beat Jjakji. Though we haven't seen all that much of Jjakji's TvT; so there might be a surprise there.
And of course it's also interesting to have some lesser known players thrown in there who have the chance to prove themselves against the top players in a tournament setting.
But maybe this is also an opportunity for ogsTop to recover from his slump? I really like him and it's kind of sad that he's been doing so poorly since his gsl finals.
As I said, very good lineup today and I really love the KSL. The only way to make it even more awesome would be to have Slayers and TSL participating ^^

Wow have no problem seeing 1-1-1 builds but it just hurts me to see anyone execute a build as badly as Happy did there.

It's not even getting it perfect, it's stuff like letting 2 tanks get picked off from the high groud, letting a medivac sit above 20 scvs with like 5 hp and not repairing it, and then not even leapfrogging his few tanks 1 by 1, he got caught with 2 unseiged at the front. So pretty much 4 free tanks and a free medivac. T_T
Vampire going really heavy on 2 base in game 3 though - double ups, twilight council otw, and collusi. Aiming for a 2/2 timing collusi timing?

Thinking more about it, I guess they both figured a 3rd base is hard to hold on that map so both aimed for epic 2 base attacks. Or I didn't actually see their vision so maybe they were both reacting to each others insane 2 base attacks. All the same, disappointed with that series overall. Expected more from Happy.

He used that build against Puzzle and it worked really well in GSL. Everyone drops games/bo3s... He was in a pretty terrible position after core broke that contain.

Yeah, it's a pretty well known fact that Calm before the Storm favors Protoss in the matchup.
I think it's good Protoss finally has maps they want to pick in the map pool instead of going "ANYTHING BUT DUAL SIGHT OR CROSSFIRE PLZ"

Yup! I hesitate to use "favours" since it brings up thoughts of balance. I'd rather say that it fits the way Protoss like playing right now very well, and Terran need to think around it a bit (as seen by Jjakji trying to the contain).
Anyway, nice game 3 from Jjakji, certainly looked embarassed there lol =p

i liked that map, doing a deadly push everytime he teched to something. Maybe he noticed that the opponents stalker micro isn't the best :x. But if someone pulls worker against blink stalkers and killing your obs with a scan, you know there is something up.

Usually you do: Extractor trick at 10>11 overlord>overlord pops, you have 200 minerals>pool>14 OL>when pool pops you get 1 queen and 2 pair of zerglings>expand. He made 6 lings and got his hatch before his queen I think.

Yeah same issue for me. I'm listening to khaldor's commentary and watching korean stream.
Khaldor is really good at saying what's in production which goes great with the korean stream since they're keeping up the unit tab all of the time.

He just likes to mix things up and characterise players by more than their handle.
You'll hear him use nationality, player race, and so on to call the action at times.
I liked KingKong's roach control up at Mushroom's nat, some good kiting and selective burrowing.

I'm nearly certain Khaldor plays zerg as his main race.
I've seen him ladder as zerg on his stream and reference his zerg play as well.
By the way guys. For 3500 odd viewers between the two streams, this is the most mannered lr thread I've ever read.
That 6 pool defense worked much better than I expected. I thought he would do damage for sure.

Well, Tanks have only a small window before Protoss tier3, so he kept producing them because he knew he had slowed down Vampire so much that he would not have to deal with Colossi or chargezealots/Archons.

Sick game, but Jjakji was super cost effective with that dual medidrop.

Oz knows how to engage that, you have to engage and NOT be engaged, initiative is super important in those kind of push imo (111 or stuff like that)

That hellion use is so strong, he lined them up and instantly took the shields off every single unit. It also abuses mules pretty heavily. He was able to keep up in units with a nexus first P because he was pumping marine hellion.

Love how Jjakji realised there were no stalkers around for the engagement so tossed down the auto turrets rather than a useless pdd or simply not using the raven for anything.
