Nah, foreign terrans still can't win anything, that was the main issue since the beginning, thorzain/Major/Kas don't seem to be any worse than naniwa or stephano to me, why can't they ever win?Is that because terran requires absolute top tier micro that only a very selected few( i.e top 10 korean terrans) have?I think it is, this tournament did nothing to prove otherwise.

commercial in the middle of day9 talking. beautiful.

It takes just over 1,000 people to get something trending in most cases.

I cant even watch the ceremony, always seems so akward I have issues watching OTHER people get nervous.

Instead he let his base get canceled 3 times, waited till Puma's gold kicked in, waited till puma caught up in upgrades and made a million vikings/ghosts plus jumped up to a 20-30 supply lead :-/ Guess he thought he was more behind than he was and thought his only chance was to turtle till max supply, bad mistake. Its tough we have perfect information while they do not but you are right. If I see my opponent is 1-1 to my 3-2 I would have to try something. But Hero got to the finals playing his style... I can't help the map played a role in this as well. I really wish they would remove gold bases all together.
upgrades really do matter. It won Thorzain a game against PUma. with this +1 upgrade marines with combat shield.
Hero is playing such a strict style,, he doesn't seem to be making out of the box decisions, common sense decisions that you need to make in SC2 to win.. 3-2 Upgrades, you have to try to engage to see if you can over-run the army.. But he played scared.

Puma did say something like that, and for a (very) short while had the nickname Skincare Terran.

Sad that Hero lost but not disappointed.
Game 4 on Crevase was simply amazing. Having no AOE and still outplaying Puma only to lose to a observer snipe.
Sure he losses this one, but in a few months Hero is going to be an even bigger beast than he is now and I can't wait for that day to come

Seems like an oversight on Blizzard's part. Archons are the same way. The lack of armored classification makes tanks and marauders pathetically weak against them. Archons are MASSIVE, ghosts are not. Why don't ghosts have another classification? They don't look like they should be damage tanks, yet they are more tanky than marauders because they have no other classification.

It was definitely nerves in the last game, you could tell

Must say that the final game just wasn't too exciting.. Even felt like Day9 and Wheat didn't care too much. >.>
Great weekend overall though, just wish the times weren't so shitty for europeans (currently 7am here rofl).

Hero... almost.. but you kind of lost your focus in the finals. I guess you are kind of still new to the showdown, publicity of intense finals series. Hopefully, you'll get more used to the pressure as years go.. I still believe in you man.
Agreed, also he flew around the world again this week because of GSL which doesnt seem ideal.

ye i loved the authentic screams when the zealot killed 2 marines and they screamed when they announced bashir lol like the guy who screamed when 1 irrelevant pylon went down during season 1 and there was the very funny picture in the thread but ye at the end NASL made the best out of the worse and they bought some "clapping-sticks"at least and let some drunk people in. its not a conspiracy.even day9 had to laugh a bit;)
grats to puma gg
