Instead he let his base get canceled 3 times, waited till Puma's gold kicked in, waited till puma caught up in upgrades and made a million vikings/ghosts plus jumped up to a 20-30 supply lead :-/ Guess he thought he was more behind than he was and thought his only chance was to turtle till max supply, bad mistake. Its tough we have perfect information while they do not but you are right. If I see my opponent is 1-1 to my 3-2 I would have to try something. But Hero got to the finals playing his style... I can't help the map played a role in this as well. I really wish they would remove gold bases all together.

Even Oklahoma city, Des Moines, Las Vegas, Salt Lake, would be better venues. Since these locations have tons of kids of LOVE SC2.. LA is full of Hollywood not SC2

So he waited all this time only to take the worst possible engagement. And the gold was very defendable, while the normal 3rd wasn't, dunno why he insisted taking it. At first I thought it was to kill Puma on his back path, but no TT.

MLG Anaheim had probably the biggest/second biggest crowd of the year for MLG. Also don't forget the Blizzcon finals... Oklahoma City? Salt Lake City? What.
