Nani probably also feels somewhat satisfied from MLG. His game has not been on par this DH simple as that.

First map, Nani FFE on Shakuras, DRG went Leenock style but Nani scouted the no expo and from then on was easy for him. Second map, Nani went for +1 zealot play but DRG fended it off easily. Nani switched to 2 stargates and pumped voids, but it got scouted and they did no damage, while DRG attacked with roach/lings and ended the game. Third game, Nani went for warp prism sentry drop on cross map Antiga. He got it scouted and executed it terribly. DRG pushed relentlessly with ling/roach, and with Nani with his back against the wall, DRG switched to mutas and ended the game.

He got #1 or #2 on EVERY TOURNAMENT he participated in except MLG providence over the last 4-5 months, with a stunning 11 gold metal and 3 silver over his career with most of them being heavy and competitive games. How is this volatile and not consistent? Give it a couple of months and it will be as random as a coin flip. SC2 skill level is so low compared to BW especially since most of the strategies and game sense were already known before the release (unlike in BW where it was a totally new way of playing). Aren't you noticing how foreigners are catching up slowly but surely? Nestea is having mixed results lately as well, MVP is the only player one step above the rest, and that will soon change as well because there's just nothing to 'figure out'. Also being good mechanically gives you a slight edge over your opponent, but nowhere near the advantage it did in BW.

Can anyone give me a short recap of the games? 1) DRG went for a one base 7rr vs the ffe of nani, nani does 3 photons and a stargate, drg will die so he gg 2) nani tries to do a 2 base agression with zealots to damage drg 3rd base, drg scouts every pylons and destroys them, nani loses his zealots without doing much damage. meanwhile, he does 6 voids in his main. then he tries to attack drg with the 6 voids while taking a 3rd, a zergling spots the 6 voids, drg makes lots of spores and uses his queens, nani voids are useless, drg meanwhile attacks nani 3rd and cancels it, makes mutas, gg 3)normal game, nani does a warp prisme, spotted, does no damage with his sentries, takes a 3rd base, techs to colossus, drg attacks nani and does mutas behind. nani holds his 3rd base but loses a lot of units, drg mutas arrive, nani doesnt have enough stalkers and photons, gg

You're delusional if you think starcraft2 is nearly "figured out" when we still see alot of critical mistakes even by the highest tier of pro. There's not someone yet that can even come close to control their army perfectly, let alone any developments in strategy that'll one day pop up such as DT/cosairs, queens transfuse, raven, warp prism etc. Sorry to say, but MVP status isn't going to be overcome anytime soon unless he slumps himself. 4-5 months period of domination is not "coinflip". In fact, we're seeing a shift in meta even in GSL from a more terran centric game to a more protoss centric. "Foreigners" are also not going to catch up to Koreans anytime soon. There'll be a few that can compete with some of them, but not any of them are really capable of consistently getting above GSL ro8, or even ro16 yet
