If he wasn't pretty successful, he would be rather BM (like in WC3, i don't believe he changed too much, rather his success helps him). See how he not gged in GSL (he had a pretty bad streak before MLG).

And toss forgot that sentries defend mutas pretty easily and own the zerg t1 army afterwards with force fields, because the zerg can't tech when he needs to increase the muta number. Its not that easy though :p. But if you know how to beat muta play with vikings, its should be no problem with toss xD.

It would be really nice if a relative outsider like him placed in the top 3

I really like MLG because they show live shots of the crowd between games, which really gives me the feeling that I'm there, and their liveblog keeps everyone updated about games that are starting and their progress. They give a schedule, whice is really good imo

Neither of them have posted enough results to be anywhere near the level of dominance that some of the Brood War pros maintained. flash loses too every once in a while, do we call broodwar volatile? Look at MVP achievements. He got #1 or #2 on EVERY TOURNAMENT he participated in except MLG providence over the last 4-5 months, with a stunning 11 gold metal and 3 silver over his career with most of the tourney he attended being heavily competitive. How is this volatile? how is it not consistent?

He definitely has the drive and potential. But almost nobody was stating that he is the best toss. Many haters justify their opinion with referring to the other extreme statements. And I rather like to see a bit overhyping than the constant shitting.

We don't know how Naniwa is feeling now, he could be sick, jetlagged and so forth, there's so many variables that determine how someone is going to perform at a tournament which frankly sometimes isn't in their control. (DRG and food poisoning etc) we'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks/months to know if he stays consistent. Naniwa and DRG are teammates, so that's harder to practice against.
