Please stop the tournament comparison discussion. Especially regarding players their runs (Stephano seems to be the current topic). Stay on topic and stick to the games. Consequences will be met out to further derailment.
Heart beat sensor ● The semi finals and the grand final will be played in the DreamArena AMD SAPPHIRE. The four players will need to use a heart beat sensor during the matches. ● The Heart beat sensor will be attached with a stretchable belt around the chest. This will be tried out in advance and attached before the final show begins.

And if CLoud advanced, NaNi would be lef out even though he won against Sheth. Therefore the only (and best) solution is using maps won and maps lost as tiebreaker. It sucks for Cloud but the system is fair.

They are not bad. Not flawless by any means but not bad.
I'd love to know what his idea of a perfect system is. This is about as traditional as it gets.
that a system is traditional does not make it good. you see things like group stages into knockout in things like, say, the world cup, because of logistical constraints which simply don't exist in an SC2 LAN, or at least not to the same extent.

om how can it be shocking? naniwa beat sheth 2-1.............
im getting frustrated. dh don't just pick and choose who gets through, it's all in the rules. Besides it's a three way tie, they're all 2-1 and beat eachother. They count total games won vs total games lost. Naniwa did better in this group.

LOL Each time someone talk about the GSL in any topic, sixfour comes out of the wood to explain the world how this is SOOO bad, even if we're 100 pages into the thread and he hasn't posted in it still. Do you have a bot that search for "GSL", and in the case someone positive was said about it, do your bot autopost "GSL format is so baaaaad". Sorry to single you out, but I think I've never seen you post anything else than those kinds of one liners about how GSL is sooo baaaad. Even in totally unrelated threads. It's like you're in a crusade or something. The funny thing is that I think I've never seen you explain anything. It's sooo baaaad, that's all, no discussion.

I didn't use enough words in that statement.
No discussion possible.
I was referring to trowing games, not about what the best system is. Especially in a tournament where only a limited amount of teams participate, round robin will always fuel discussion about trowing games.
I dislike the GSL Bo1 format, because it should be Bo3. I don't think we can use round robin in SCII, too much chance of people trowing games. Not caring about your last game, and playing worse than your first game, is pretty annoying as well.
