Please stop the tournament comparison discussion. Especially regarding players their runs (Stephano seems to be the current topic). Stay on topic and stick to the games. Consequences will be met out to further derailment.
In addition leave the usual out of this topic:
-Balance complaints -Map complaints -Stream complaints -Caster/player bashing -Off topic discussions
Logically continue this list with things that are obviously frowned upon. Enjoy the free and wonderful event with loads of games and coverage! |
Just went through the rules and saw this:
Heart beat sensor ● The semi finals and the grand final will be played in the DreamArena AMD SAPPHIRE. The four players will need to use a heart beat sensor during the matches. ● The Heart beat sensor will be attached with a stretchable belt around the chest. This will be tried out in advance and attached before the final show begins.
Looks like a really cool feature

Quick Question. In Group B Nani takes 2nd over cloud even thou he lost to Cloud. Do won Maps count over who won the match?
|
At what time do games restart? Does anyone know? Thanks.
|
If anyone's interested there's a Bo7 taking place between TaeJa and NEXTREME. Gives you something to watch during the break.

Even if it's head-to-head there's a three way tie in which every player has beaten someone and loss to another player, so no one can advance on head-to-head. They thus have to go to map scores

They are not bad. Not flawless by any means but not bad.

Wow, I just arrived and saw the results... O_o
Did IdrA ragequit a lot? :0)

And even if it didn't, nani, sheth and cloud would be 1-1 against each other and they would have to resort to maps won anyway.

can anyone tell me where to find the vods of day 1 ToD vs Sheth? I heard the match was quite good and i would be grateful if someone could help me. pm me if needed. Thanks a lot

I don't see why so many people think that because of Sheths strat that he threw the game. More drones would have potentially put him more "even", but it would have been 2 base vs 2base with sheth being required to drone hard to catch up and Naniwa having complete map domination. I mean yes, it's possible that Sheth could have outplayed Naniwa from there, but unlikely. Sheth probably know better than anyone where you can try to best Naniwa, if they are practise partners, clearly he didn't think he could play out of that situation.

OH NOES!!! ClouD :°°°°°°°

Yup. You could technically even lose more than two matches and still be in a tournament with this system.

I'd love to know what his idea of a perfect system is. This is about as traditional as it gets.

Did IdrA ragequit a lot? :0) No, Idra usually doesn't ragequit if he respects his opponents.

I think that is really shocking that naniwa advances, Cloud beat him and they both had a 2-1 record.
|
Poor ClouD, he usually underperforms and in this tournament he for once played pretty well... and then he gets eliminated like this T_T

How? Being 0-3 will never get you through.

Tiebreakers ● The groups are decided in the following order: points, maps +/-, internal match. In case of a three-way-tie of the previous criteria internal maps +/- will decide. ● Would this not separate the players and determine the group. The players will play a tiebreaker of BO1 against each other. The first match-up will be randomly drawn and tiebreakers will continue until the group is decided
