But it was always like that in Code S, last season is the only exception

Maybe not top 10 was what you were looking for. Shame really, his TvT is pretty good. He had a good game against MMA last season.
It depends how you look at it, though. Is he one of the top 3? No. Not top 5? No, probably not. But the guy has been in Code S for how long, now? How many people can actually say that? Anyone that manages to stay in Code S, not just get there by some fluke, is among the best players in the world. You can debate how far down the imaginary list of best players they are, but they're damn good.

I was just thinking how nice it would be if players like MMA were that defensive with turrets, but maybe that's exactly why they aren't: it slows their aggression/expanding. Maybe on a smaller map like Metalopolis, where Supernova demolished DRG last season, but we saw July's map control in that game.

He doesn't harass, his micro is mediocre to poor, and his multi-tasking is non-existent. All this explains his struggles in TvP, where mech isn't viable, but he really should take a page from Happy's book and start meching in TvZ. I hope note. I hate Happy so much I don't know why though....
Happy is actually pretty amazing. He has one of the best marine tank T v Z (watch him own leenock last season) and also one of the best mech t v z (against drg). His T v T is amazing, he even beat MVP in WCG and his t v p is no slouch either. I think he is a future gsl champion.

Seriously, macro with 0 harass is not difficult nor exciting. I totally and utterly understand him. Long macro games are where all aspects of the game come into fruition. Amen brother! Not when both turtle with no fight, no harrass, no interaction... There's always interaction between 'em, even if it's not by straight up unit interaction. There's a match-up in BW (ZvP) that has basically turned into a huge build-up race, where both races are trying to outgreed the other. Both races are trying to avoid making units for as long as possible in order to get as strong as possible later on, and that makes for an awesome meta-game. :D
