Happy and Gumiho imo. Perhaps Line. Not MKP, too much terrans, and one zerg. In fact, is there a race MKP can still play against ? TT Rooting for him, but I don't think he has a chance here.

Oh MrCon did you turned into a non-believer too?
Yeah I still love him but I have a hard time rooting for him, knowing he'll surely play for the show and lose in the process and I'll be frustrated again >< It's a slow decline in my faith since his game vs Losira on Crossfire in GSL..July or August I guess ?
I'm going for GuMiho and Happy to advance here. Gumi vs MKP can go either way considering it's a Bo3, but Happy will just roll over Line with the way Happy's playing recently.
I initially wanted to make MKP's picture a marine, Line's a mutalisk and for Happy the EU Happy. But I got lazy, so T__T.

Think he left 3 tanks at the back on their own and MKP dropped his marines on top of them to destroy those tanks. Then gumiho was left with marines + banshees against mkp marines. I guess.

Your forgetting MKP's strengths in TvT, lately we only have been seeing his weakness's (mid game tvts) But in super early game tvt AND super late game tvt MKP dominates with base trades/ or superior micro.

I feel like the observer missed a lot of stuff, I never saw the tanks going down and I thought MKP had fallen apart after I saw 13 of his marines doing nothing on gumiho's base and one of his medivacs following gumiho's CC around which meant that army would remain useless for quite some time.

Hehe yeah. 5am here now, and 7am for the AOL :o I feel your usual pain =)
What's with these announcers clearing their throats when they're talking? Is that something that's not uncommon in Korean? I've never heard any of my Korean friends doing it, or noticed it in other Korean casts. It's not such a big deal, just a bit jarring -.-

Both have Reactored Factories. Faster second gas for Gumiho, with Starport and Tech Lab going down. MKP sees the Tech Lab! Puts down a Starport of his own too.

It's a type of emphasis announcers use when they are speaking. Young people don't really use it, but you hear it once in a while with older people.

Thanks, that puts my mind at ease a little :-p Was really catching me offguard.
Gumiho looked very sloppy both games. Forgetting to lower supply depot in the first game and lots of mistakes this game too. Glad MKP is through though.
Yes mkp to the ro4. Getting closer to that top 3 spot! So glad mkp came through 2nd game because banshees are his kryptonite and he usually dies to them! Got worried when he floated his rax forever and had no marines too, but luckily he made a viking.

youre talking about the chrrrrr sound right? its pretty rofl, if u watch korean shows they do it there too like boom does it etc
Gumiho looked sloppy yes. Like having his vikings on move command passing by MKP's vikings, or with his tanks in game 1. I don't understand why Gumi used those kind of strats, MKP is the best, or one of the best when put in unusual, high stress situations like this and usually it makes him play at his best. Gumi would have been a much better chance playing mech (which he was the inventor iirc, when he was still random) or just marine tank/biomech imo.
On November 05 2011 13:42 DizzySheep wrote: going double starport against MARINEking gotta be one of the worst decision ever
More like "not being able to micro starport units against MARINEking has got to be one of the worst decisions ever"
Edit: So many people saying MKP did awesome in both g1 and g2.... I can't help but disagree. GuMiho just played like a complete noob. MKP's play was shaky too.
Has gumiho been stomped by MKP in ladder or what? Why did he opt for such weird builds when nice standard mech beats MKP as long as you are ready for his base trade shenanigans.

Lol its so ironic how so many of his games end up in really weird high stress adrenaline rush situations, like the game vs ace, double gateways in his base and he went 1rax into cc... and HELD, or the base trade vs ogsNaDa where he was so behind that artosis even said he can't actually win but he still won... I think its the fact that he goes 1 rax expand every match-up, the game revolves around him trying to hold attacks/cheese.

The channel its running on is 4:3, I'm being retarded and blanking on its name but its the same one BW runs on. This is also why the production looks different (including the awesome booths).

One guy doesn't equate to every zerg. If you watch the others they get a baneling nest. IIRC Line I think doesn't get banelings with his style. I think it was known when he always went Muta/Ling with no banes. Someone probably knows it better than I do.

Yeah I recognize the channel and production I just figured they would have a different resolution, and it's called ongamenet IIRC

" some " zergs I should have said. It was painful to watch that early marine/hellion/marauder attack cripple him so easily and he was on roach/ling tech and easily had enough money for a bane nest.

THANK YOU! I was tearing my hair out trying to remember the name. If memory serves the aren't able to transmit in any other resolution.
Its so awesome seeing Korean pros stack their drones on the close minerals. That was originally a foreigner trick but more than that it was a TL trick! I'm pretty sure Huk and the other TL players were to first to consistently do that.

Well this map is AWFUL, I mean really bad for mech, not to mention no ghosts so ultras easily crush any mech unit.
On November 05 2011 14:31 Taryssa wrote: What a weird game from Line overall. He still only has 1 ground armor upgrade and is making ultras...
I'm wondering if Happy could switch to Marauders when dealing with that many unupgraded ultras. I mean usually he would need to stay mech to avoid a heavy upgrade disadvantage, but thats not the case here.

marauders and ultras have a weird relationship, if ultras can hit them, then they own, but if they can't, marauders pretty much oneshot them

Hellions (+drops) kill any expansion you can't protect with your army. Spine Crawlers just don't cut it.
Nice play by both players. Line fell pretty far behind but freestyled it to something good.
Come on... vs 3 spine crawlers and a couple of roaches what are hellions gonna do. It would have to be AT least 12 hellions (thats 24 supply and 1200 minerals).

Yeah I would think a few spine crawlers + queen is more than enough to handle hellion drops. Weird, too bad I didn't watch that game start to finish, but felt kinda weird Z was only on 4 bases vs T 4 bases.

You can't keep roaches in all your bases. And 3 spine crawlers + 1 queen won't protect your drones from +2 blueflame hellions that two shot them. Maybe with a money fungal, but in any case, it is nowhere close to 'easy', as Nagisama said...
Even then, that's 950 minerals per base and you don't have any drone yet. He can easily spare 800 minerals and 16 supplies to deal with it.

At +2 ground mech weapon and +1 ground zerg armor, it still takes 3 shots to kill drones... all while 2-3 spines maybe a couple roaches and a queen are whacking at hellions.
Even at +3ground mech, as long as zerg has +1 ground armor, it will always take 3 shots to kill drones.
I only caught the last game but it was quite interesting. I feel like that one sensor tower saved Happy's ass a lot. Every time the tower picked up a doom drop he was peeling his vikings away from his main force right away to get there first and deny as many overlords as he could. Also he got so many burrowed Infestor kills with his tanks due to the ravens, I want to see more ravens in this matchup.
I felt kinda bad for line as 2 then 3 then 4 ultras were stuck in his base before he realized and moved to free them, it's like second hand embarrassment anytime I watch someone get units stuck due to their simcity.
I missed MKP's games but am glad he's moving on to face Happy next round.
dayum reading the LR from page 2-6. must watch that game. are there any free vods of the wcg korea? i went to gomtv and they said i had to have a ticket.....
isnt wcg supposed to be free? btw i am asking for legit ones not illegal ^.^

yeah ro8 should be up within a few hours. check the WCG tab under leagues.
I don't have a season ticket, but was able to see game 1 of mkp vs gumiho and game 2 on the gomtv website (game 2 was uploaded as the imhappy vs suhoshin match 1). It may be possible to see the mkp series (first two games).
Normally it would require me to log in and then watch (which ofc prompts me that I needed the gsl october, aol, or gstl season 1, so I can't watch) but today's upload must have messed up.
I'm watching the vods and the sound seems to be super messed for the second MKP game. Also the second Happy vs Line game is missing and the first game is in the second's spot. I'm assuming other people have this problem as well?
